sadly this pak is actually revealing the mindset which a lot of indians have. O we cant bowl fast, in fact why bother anyway its no good. Crikey even our selctors believe this Yadav is fast. Took 5 wickets in perth, did really well in last test he played. Bowls 90mph. YET WE WONT EVEN GIVE HIM A GO! I dont get it, really dont it. Has an average of 32, which considering everyone has saying has no control, is brain dead etc etc Is very good considering with a run of games he should improve!!

Even if they are genuinely quick, after 1 innings, they will struggle to bowl out the opposition. They cannot take 20 wickets regularly every match. These bowlers do not have the talent of Steyn, Johnson or even Anderson for that matter.

In test cricket to be successful you need to bowl 135+ or have Vernon Philander asif or mcgrath type ability to attack the top of off stump while rarely straying down leg side. None of our bowlers have that ability. In that regard I would say shami is best in our team followed by khan and arron with yadav Ishant and bk behind in the lower tier. Ishant and bk should be out because both are poor in terms of pace and accuracy. Khan is still accurate but not that accurate compared to philander or even shami. Plus his pace has dropped. But he still has enough skill to dominate new Zealand but I hope someone else gets a shot. Arron is actually pretty accurate. Behind only shami and maybe khan in our squad. He should be picked ahead of bk khan and ishant for that reason and for the fact that's he's one of our fastest bowlers. I haven't seen pandey bowl. But he seems to bowl around 130s. So hopefully he has that rare ability to attack the top of off stump for long periods of time otherwise he will struggle.

steyns, andersons, johnsons, harris, etc all started out like any decent, quality pacer. They were backed and they developed their skill and kept decent (or increased) pace. our pacers get worse because there is no management, tough schedules, no desire to bowl fast and laziness. Hope the new crop exceed.

I am sure selectors will be forced to add Aaron to the test squad if he gets a chance in ODIs, does well, and shows good fitness. A lot of "ifs", I know the most important being Dhoni giving him a chance to play. Yadav wasn't even the worst bowler in the only ODI he has played and finds himself out of the squad. Baffling stuff - the selection committee seems to be undoing some of the good it had done earlier.

of the bowlers I have seen Yadav and shami should be opening the bowling. Yadav can extract swing thats on offer, shami can get movement off the seam, plus both have the pace to take wickets with the old ball. Good opening combo. Arron 1st change because he can bowl fast and accurate for long periods of time. But I have never seen Pandey bowl. If he has philander type accuracy (which i highly doubt since that's so rare historically) and has a good out swinger I would pick him ahead of yadav. Since Arron isn't apart of the test squad I would pick Yadav, shami, and pandey to see what pandey is capable of.

Only fair to compare them in the matches both played. the fact of the matter is that Bhuvi has a much better record than Pandey in the IPL.

Understand the difference. Pandey has barely played T20 cricket. His first IPL. BK was already a seasoned IPL player. You are avoiding the over I posted of Bk to same batsman. And then skills required for T20 and test are completely different.

His injury had nothing to do with fitness. He had bone fracture related to load and stress. For that, he underwent surgery.
