Leaving aside all the selection gas, the only change that would be made would be at No. 4. So, the important question is who replaces Yuvraj at No. 4 ? We effectively have only two options (1) Ambati Rayudu (2) Ajinkya Rahane

Rahane will def replace YUVI.

Pujara should.
He's not in the squad. When Raina fails in NZ, he should be dropped and replaced with Pujara. Dhawah, rohit, kohli at 1,2,3. Pujara at 4, Rahane at 5, Dhoni at 6. Jadeja, Ashwin at 7, and 8. Then 3 fast bowlers.

Rahane with Rayudu at 5 bench Raina
Pujara at 4, with Rahane at 5 would be better. But, the question is who can accelerate when the time comes? Only Dhoni, but he takes time to settle in. Every thing would depend on Jadeja, to accelerate.

Inside the sub : Raina or MSD Just shift people up the order. In India I think its fair to say that we can rely on 5 batsman + MSD (keeper) + Sir and Ash + 3 seamers. Both Rahane (unless he is opening) and Pujara are probably too slow for the subcontinent. Plus we need 5 frontline bowlers. Raina can double up as the part timer who covers for *****y bowling performances from the frontline bowlers (which is nearly always) Outside the sub: Rahane/Pujara. I doubt Rayadu has the technical ability to play that steely role. I want to see both Rahane and Pujara each be given an extended run at this position and determine who among them gets the spot. Rahane is more attacking than Che who is more solid in defence. Rahane though can also double up as a back up opener in the squad. The point i am trying to make is lets pick a side as per the conditions. You cannot play the same team everywhere. You would be dumb to do that.

Rayudu can accelerate if needed. Pujara not there.only one of him or Rahane can play

I am talking generally. Not based on who is in the squad. If Pujara(instead of Rayudu) and Rahane play, and if Raina is dropped. Then who would accelerate?

I never really liked the idea of Pujara at #4 in ODIs. Dhawan-Rohit combo has been successful but Rohit could slip down at #4 and make way for Pujara as an opener. No matter what positions these guys are placed at, they better stay miles away from Kohli's #3 spot.

Kohli has a fantastic record at 4 too,can also switch gears better than Chepu,Rahane

Rahane isn't really a finisher. Having him in the team to chase anything above 280 would be a huge liability i believe.
We need to build for next year's WC. You are not going to find too many pitches with a par score of more than 280. Of course, our bowling might still concede more but on pitches with something in it the cowlashing brigade is not going to chase them down anyway.
