Just incredibly badly led with someone who has no accountabilty and leads team for his own finicial interests and to settle scores. Just need a leader to select right players(basically on merit which is not happening at moment), enthuse them with belief and back them. Plus someone who puts some fire up our asses and has a cricket brain.Time to change your handle to Whine King!!!!!

If Dhoni and Jadeja had tried to play sensible cricket, India would have lost the game by 80 runs instead of 40. For chases like this, you need a technically competent tailender, someone like Siddle, Kumble, or Philander, to bat with one of the specialist batsmen. India has a very long tail in these conditions.

Then along with that RD, VVS and SRT retired. After that in SA test series and this 1st NZ test with a new look batting line up, this team has performed admirably and are on the right track, under MSD. Never claimed that Gambhir should not have been dropped in the other thread I said this as well in Srini thread that rebuilding should have started back in 2011.But what about the leadership in Test format? What about Dhoni as a test batsman what about his defensive tactics what about him releasing the pressure when they were 30-3 ? What about the introduction of Virat or Jadeja when they were 3 down.Even that Joburg test should have been won by us.In the Durban test he never took the new ball and Saffers maximized the lead to 170.His selection policies are questionable and he just goes through the motions. Has tasted defeat on four overseas tour and would be the same in England as well.

Because he is a match winning world cup final player, right. And the captain has absolutely no responsibility for whitewashes at all, it is just the bowling or batting or whatever. Everyone else but the captain has to take responsibility. Hey, as someone pointed out, we showed the non-performing seniors the door. But what about the non-performing captain with no overseas 100 in his career? He should always be there as he is a pressure world cup final player.
