You missed early part of his career? He used to be in high 130s to low to mid 140s in early 2000s even in tests. Can still remember how he troubled Andy Flower in his 232 series with pace and bounce in 2002, I guess.

How such an over the hill player can be selected in the India squad is a mystery to me. Contrast is even more stark when you watch Aus-SA match and see bowler after bowler from both teams running in hard and hit 140+ consistently All three of Umesh, Bhuvi and Pandey should've been ahead of Zak but won't get a game :((

Zak hitting 150 The fastest I have ever seen him bowl is around early 140s in the 140-145 range. The fastest spell I have seen from an Indian pacer is by Umesh against Aus though he did spray it around a bit. In odis Nehra hitting 150kph against Eng in 2003 WC was the fastest, and probably, the best spell I've seen from an Indian pacer in the shorter format.

Nightwatchman is someone you don't mind losing. I don't think we could have afforded to lose Jaddu's wicket at the end of the day. Given our longish tail sacrificing someone like Jaddu would have made NZ's task much easier. Nightwatchmen should be tailenders like Gillespie, Anderson, Ishant etc. who can block a few and hang around. It was a good decision to send Ishant as a nighwatchman and Jaddu could have scored a few more and maybe get to his half century to make his case as a middle order batsman. Rahane was batting at the other end and it wasn't as if Jaddu was batting with the tail and yet he slogged and didn't even hang around long enough to see Rahane to his maiden 100.
