zaqw222222 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Surprised no one mentioned Joel Garner EDIT : Muloghonto did!!!
alexander Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Kapil would most likely be the best ever :giggle: His bowling would get smoked in T20.
jusarrived Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 :giggle: His bowling would get smoked in T20. True for all past greta bowlers
alexander Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Not true for all at all. One can easily imagine Garner and Ambrose being awesome T20 bowlers. Akram with his range and pace would be ok too. Donald, Hadlee et al - all complete bowlers. Medium paced bowlers who rely on swing cannot be compared to out and out quicks who have a host of tools.
Muloghonto Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Err kapil at his peak was faster than jimmy anderson. He also happens to have a better econ than most great bpwlers of the 80s despite playing twice as much of them. His batting alone would b chris gayle-esque in tqenry twenties. And fyi, for med pacers, dwayne bravo is a bwtter 20/20 Than most fast bowlers Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
alexander Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Who said Anderson was a top T20 bowler? JA bowls 82-85 mph typically, which is about what Dev bowled. Neither is quick or especially great. Anderson has been great in patches. That's all any fair fan would say.
Muloghonto Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Err for his first 6 yrs, dev was a 85-86 mph bowler. I didnt say anderson was a great 20/20 bowler, I said dwayne bravo, who barely touches 80mph is a great bowler in 20/20s. Dev was a gop flight loi bowler- good enough to get into an atg odi team on his bowling alone. Coupled with his excellent oitfielding and unrivalled power hitting in the last 5 overs, he, along with dhoni, tendulkar and viv are 4 automatics for an alltime odi side. So he definitely merits mention here Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
Zero_Unit Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Klusener + 1 ... back in the days this guy was a beast when he got going. his batting was something to watch.
