fineleg Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 BCCI should market him to county teams in England so he can get some early county experience first.

rkt.india Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 BCCI should market him to county teams in England so he can get some early county experience first. County rules have changed. Only players who have played certain matches for their national team can play county. Akalpit
The Realist Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 he is 28 already :hmmm: And Nohit will be 27 soon and still plays like a deer in the headlights
tweaker Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 He should be selected in the squad, but a place in the starting 11 should go to Ambatti Rayuddu,as he is in the squad for longer time
Sidhoni Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Good player, should be given a chance in the squad.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 i dont see why he can't play t20s, bcci should organise the team to tour countries and play t20s and at home
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 His stats in both First Class and List A cricket is exceptional. Scores quickly in the longest version of the game too. Holds the record for the fastest triple century in Ranji Trophy history, having scored 327 off 312 balls against Uttar Pradesh last year.
urbestfriend Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Yes, He is busy operator , takes singles and scores boundaries if required. Needs to come in to ODI team.
tweaker Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Kedhar Jadhav can also be considered for test team
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Was hoping someone bumped this thread. :D
kubrickian Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 He could have done well in List A and will probably do well at home but can he play the short ball well ? Can he score runs when there is more pace and bounce in the track ? He needs to play games in those conditions to adapt and adjust his technique. Its not easy for any batsman to immediately start scoring there. I'm only asking this because the next World Cup in Aus/NZ where we will get those conditions.
kaptaan Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 good that he is performing well in ranji finals
Cricket_Hacker Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 has only 8 fours in his 88* but still a strike rate of over 80...nohit needs to learn something from him
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Has this season earned him a place in the Indian team? The ODI team still doesn't have a good No. 4/No. 5. He deserves a look-in at the very least.
