Yantra Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Big Mouth, fatwin opens his mouth again, Here are some extract from IndianExpress Interview, This is probably the best frame of mind I have been in,” he added, negating a lack of wickets in recent times. I have locked away a few things. I am not reading articles or listening to what people are saying about me. It doesn’t make sense. I had a tour of South Africa which was quite a learning curve for me. I have decided if I am giving my best that is all I can do. I just locked myself out. “I spoke to (MS) Dhoni about a couple of things, to the coach and had chats with a few people I trust. I thought things were going alright. It can happen, you cannot keep taking wickets or making runs all the time. The frame of mind I was in helped me perform the way I did, I am satisfied with how I am bowling. I have sorted out what length and what kind of bowling needs to be done. There are certain ways you need to construct a spell abroad away from India. I have learnt that and put that into practice,” said Ashwin when asked about his lean patch with the ball. I was used to batting up the order, taking my time, playing shots along the ground. But definitely over the last year or so I have put in a lot of effort I have made a few technical changes. It is coming out really well. I wasn’t surprised with the way I batted in Auckland, because I was hitting a few in practice sessions as well,” he explained. Some of these Jokers start praising them self after little success and start describing how hard they worked and start giving credits to people as if they have won world cup or Grand slam. he bowling still sucks and I agree with Prasanna's article every words. he bowling still sucks no deceptions, predictable variations, plus "hath pag sariya ne pet gagriya" :winky:
Yantra Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Sorry looks like difficult to read with quotes, here is the text only, This is probably the best frame of mind I have been in,†he added, negating a lack of wickets in recent times. cowboysfan Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Ashwin should be extremely worried,he has already lost his test spot to a part timer and that too a batsman who struggles with any fast bowling above 135k.There is no mystery in his bowling as his main goal is to limit runs and his negative bowling is also not helping.
punjabi_khota Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Bhajji is laughing his ass off right at this moment.
vvvslaxman Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think Ashwin is often used as media guy by team India as he articulates well. When you are going through horrendous form and you are asked about your bowling , there is no right answer for it. At best he can say "I am working on it". Dhoni should stop sending non performers to the media. This is what happens .
Talwar Raja Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 He keeps changing his bowling action all the time. Not even the best of the best can bowl well if they keep changing their bowling actions.
veer Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Ashwin is one of those who relies on batsmen to give him a wicket.. He bats well though.. but he should put value on his wicket and make it count. Anyone saw baseball type stance in 2nd ODI.. that was funny.
Pagalpanti Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Probably cuz he is busy eating all those idli vadas..
MCcricket Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 A spinners primary skill is to impart a lot of spin and Ashwin if he doesn't work on that he will fade away like Harbhajan who lost his ability to get turn and bounce after his hand surgery and Ashwin should try on getting more turn so he can be successful not just at home but away on sporting tracks too.
veer Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ^^ he was never a big turner cuz he is a finger spinner... It was the mystery in his bowling that made him successful.. but now that mystery is gone..
Ultimate_Game Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 BKL Ashwin listen to folks and don't turn into another Bhajji.
MCcricket Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ^^ he was never a big turner cuz he is a finger spinner... It was the mystery in his bowling that made him successful.. but now that mystery is gone.. Everyone has to evolve, Ashwin has a upright bowling action and doesn't pivot or put much body or shoulder in his bowling, it requires the right thought process and working on it, if he is going to be mediocre away from home then that is a problem, Idont see a reason he cannot get more turn and bounce as he has the height and the finger strength as it requires a lot of skills and finger strength to bowl a carom ball and he just needs to work on his bowling a bit to get wickets anywhere as Swann and any world class spinner should.
Cricketics Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ^ thats a piss poor meme I didn't make it. Ashwin has started to remind me more and more about Torres now since he compared himself with him once last year or 2 ago.
veer Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I didn't make it. Ashwin has started to remind me more and more about Torres now since he compared himself with him once last year or 2 ago. Did he really do that?
