Our fast bowlers will have to start using their brains more, says Mahendra Singh Dhoni

As i sais we do not have any attacking spinner who can beat batsman with variations.Leftarm spinners are containers and due to lack of variation have to play a defensive role.We really need to look for a wrist spinner or somebody who turns the ball.
Jaddu was highest wicket taker in CT and one of the highest wicket takers in ODIs in 2013. :cantstop:

Those were on pitches which helped spin.Even ashwin took wickets.Problem is in nz and aus where the wc is.Jadeja is a accurate bowler who depends on pitches for variations.

Yeah that's why you can't expect anything more from spinners here. NZ plays only one spinner, Nathan McCullum and he bowls a negative line and mostly tries to stop runs. Aussies play only one spinner, Doherty and Maxwell who is a part timer. England also play only Tredwell and mostly operated with seamers in recent ODI series against Aus.

We do not have that luxury and captain wants 2 spinners we better play a guy who turns the ball insteadof ashwin if he continues to be like this. Our spin cupboard is not looking promising though bar drug addict and rasool.

our fast bowlers did well too and took early wickets which helped spinners.even Ishant was okay no 1-2 bowler can carry our attack. They have to perform as a unit. here 1 or 2 bowling is always sucking bigtime releasing all the pressure

Our fast bowlers took wickets here too, but spinners could not give those breakthroughs. Even today at 60 odd for 2, would easily have been 100 for 4 if spinners had taken a wicket each. Same happened in the first match as well.

Spinners did bowl well in conditions not suited for them. No team can win outside the SC without one or two strike pace bowlers, and India has just half a strike bowler in Shami. 20 overs for 74 by Jaddu and Ashwin was a match winning effort after our batsmen made 279. But where were the rest of the bowlers, I mean the pace bowlers? One or two wickets from them at 6.5 rpo killed the game for India.

The concern for me is that Bhuvi used to get early wickets in his spell but now it seems he is not able to do that plus he is not getting any swing as well.Shami while he is getting wickets is now going for too many runs I just hope somehow they are managed and they dont fade away and become useless trundlers.
