rkt.india Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 We always have Ishant to make up for experience. Other experienced bowlers are either retired or back in the ICU. From experience, I do not mean **** bowlers but good and experienced bowler with whom young bowlers can learn a thing or two and improve.
Magneto Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Ishant Sharma. Haha, Ishant is actually a prime example of the fact that giving a long rope and numerous opportunities does not automatically translate into getting a good strike bowler.

Let me know if you spot one.

rkt.india Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Okay, good and experienced and fit Indian phaast bowler who will take a wicket or two? Let me know if you spot one. That is what I said we do not have such pacers like other countries have. We expect rookie bowlers to start winning you matches.
Magneto Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 That is what I said we do not have such pacers like other countries have. We expect rookie bowlers to start winning you matches. But our rookie bowlers can surely bowl less rubbish in comparison and probably bowl with a plan. They have a bowling coach, they are seasoned first class bowlers, they hurl MC-BC overexcitedly whenever they get a wicket, so they are not exactly a bunch of toddlers who are learning to walk. Our rookie bowlers (most of them) must be the worst rookie bowlers in the world.
adi B Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 But does that give our pacers the license to bowl rubbish and continue to leak 300+ runs with regularity? no.we have substandard bowler and a clueless captain who doesn't know how to manage his bowlers, this combo is a recipe for disaster!!

Magneto Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 no.we have substandard bowler and a clueless captain who doesn't know how to manage his bowlers' date='this combo is a recipe for disaster!![/quote'] Most captains would struggle with substandard bowlers like these. Dhoni is a dignified man, so he said these true words after so many years. Had Kohli been the captain, he would have said upfront ki 'humare saare bowlers ek se badhkar ek bkl hai'.

Our rookie bowlers (most of them) must be the worst rookie bowlers in the world. There is a whole lot of difference in bowling FC and international cricket. Our FC cricket will not produce ready made bowlers. They can only become good by playing international level when they will know what kind of a bowling is require and what gulf is there between FC and international. This is the reason our rookie bowlers are worst in the world. Level of our FC cricket is poor especially for pacers. They are not playing in a competitive Aus or County environment.

Ditto for FC cricket in most countries and the gulf would always be there. But players from most countries make that transition better than Indian bowlers. And it is not only about making the initial transition. The big issue about Indian bowlers is also consistency. Both BK and Shami started so well, but they are now looking uninspired and disinterested ending up with mediocre performances. On their way to become another couple of Ishants.

Our rookie bowlers (most of them) must be the worst rookie bowlers in the world. Our rookie bowlers are actually the ones who looked the best and that is shami ahmed in every match he has played he has been indias best bowler.Even in this series he has the best bowler so bowling talent is not the problem selection and captaincy is. In odis everybody gets hammered even mitch jonhson, faulknar, coulternile got hammered and these are small grounds with average scores of 300.In india dhoni believes in bowling in right areas ,but right areas to ryder may not be the place to bowl to taylor. He talks about bowling 2 bouncers if u can bowl at 145ks.There has been lack of planning like we saw in how kiwis attacked kohl by bowling wide-outside off stump Then there is management we run our bowlers in to ground play them every format when they do well and do not rest them.Aussie, england all manage workload of the bowlers but we do not.
Detonator Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 and it also means there is something wrong with the captaincy as well. yep, Dhoni is doing blunders. It's not on Clarke's level though. It's high time that he shld realize that his approach isn't suited for the new rules. Just thought that this forum became Indian conspiracy fans. People are more interested in taking a dig at players they don't like and gushing abt players they like. Discussions here look like youtube comments now a days.

Quality of cricket is far better in Australia, SA, and England FC matches and they have a tradition of fast bowling in them. Indian FC is nowhere in front of those FC standards. We have not produced a single real champion fast bowler till today. Another thing, once someone starts doing well, we play him in every match Test, ODI, and T20 without break until he starts failing.
The Realist Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Its obvious that Dhoni gets frustrated when his concubine Retard Sharma is not in the team to service him in private, hence he has to let all the frustration out in public.

Had Kohli been the captain, he would have said upfront ki 'humare saare bowlers ek se badhkar ek bkl hai'. dont just go by stats there are numerous instances where the bowler looks good,in rhythm but dhoni decides to replace him after 2 ovrs, umesh in durban, aaron yesterday when he picked wkt,he was replaced immediately..he doesn't even finishes their quota, there are plenty of instances like shami bowled 9 in kochi vs aus where he was the pick, dhoni's main aim is to finish the 50 ovrs in time and for that he's willing to bowl on with part timers even at the expense of his main pacers.. dhoni is the perfect example of how to let the game drift away,i am not saying that these bowlers are good but i can equally vouch that dhoni's handling of fast bowlers is pathetic!! that durban odi was the perfect example to state that dhoni had officially lost his mind, bowled part timers like rainia, kohli in 10th,12th ovr when umesh was given just 2 ovrs (just conceded 9),shami bowled just 3 but pishant who was the most expensive bowled the most 4 ovrs!!

Has nothing to do with the fact that Indian bowlers mostly bowl absolute rubbish without any plan whatsoever. Their bowling brainlessly has less to do with legacy and heritage and more to do with the fact that they go about their act brainlessly.
SLICKR392 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 As if we had world beaters before Dhoni. Our pacers were always rubbish.

Thats because there is no plan.Only time u saw indian bowlers having some plans is during venkys reign and under dravid.
