He was one of most naturally talented batsmen in last 15 years, only ABDV/Kohli/Rohit can compete with him. He never worked hard like Trott, Amla, Cook. Whatever he achieved, did so with flair, arrogance and authority. Only other guy who was so sure of his ability and so insulting to bowling attacks was Virendra Sehwag. I never watched Sir Viv Live, But I saw Sehwag and KP tear apart attacks in Test cricket. Sachin/Lara/Ponting did too, but they always were bit bowed down by responsibilities. Freedom and Clarity of mind which KP and Sehwag displayed was second to none. Good bye KP, it was sheer joy to watch you in International Cricket clothing. I loved every moment of you on TV. .

well if this is true than england are the biggest losers kp will now play in ipl as he was dropped and he did not himself chose ipl over england tbh maybe is not that bad for him..yes test cricket is biggest challenge for any cricketer and kp would probably miss him but as we can see whole team hates him and no one wants him so i do not think he would have been enjoying much.. for me he is already one of the best english batsman and probably most talented cricketer to come out in last decade..
