vvvslaxman Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I dont know if MS was here, I'd have backed us to win both these close games.. He maybe a average keeper and not the best captain around but he's the best we've got atm. Kohli still has to develop a few things but has shown potential to be a really good successor to MS. Kohli has done one thing.. Making a match of small totals with limited resources . With Dhoni when we defend totals you will have a feeling no total is safe.
CG Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 r u serious ? wc is played in aus he will be useful der dont judge his performance based on these flat tracks He did not impress in nz ,sa even in champions trophy he was hit and miss.He has gone downhill and averages 35 + now.
vvvslaxman Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 This is a spin pitch man. Can't do much with 60 meter boundaries.
CG Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 This is a spin pitch man. Can't do much with 60 meter boundaries. I know but he has not impressed in nz,sa,even in ct.
jf1gp_1 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 We made a match out of 245 and you creating thread on bowlers.
SLICKR392 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I know but he has not impressed in nz' date='sa,even in ct.[/quote'] He was pretty good in CT, IMO.
nsareen Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 cut the wrist slit comments for god sake. He bowled his heart out, sometimes things do not work out... they are not very experienced either. Hoping they learn from these experiences to become better bowlers. India really pulled things back and almost almost took the game away from pakistan, had it been not for the 2 sixes..
Number Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Kohli is missing one of the greatest ODI batsmen ever and that is replaced by poop.
beetle Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 OTT thread. He didn't bowl well in the beginning...but ended well.
Utalk Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Going past the emotion stuff I am disappointed with our batting performance today. Despite a good opening stand we messed the game up by gifting 3 wickets and brought India back in the game. Then through a good partnership but then again let Ind back in through brainless cricket. This game should have been done and dusted with ease. India Mishra apart bowled poorly and yet came close to pulling it off. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
NareshK Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Many of the players in the side lack experience and confidence too as they are not established in the team yet. So you expect some screw ups because they are under a lot of pressure. I have to agree that this team hasn't learned to deliver the knock out punch. In the SA first test, NZ ODIs, NZ tests and against SL and Pak in this tournament, we have failed to win from winning positions.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 its not OTT thread. he needs to be dropped to be given a message he sucked today...you keep playing him he will live with this medicroty...chalta hai attitude....

Hoping they learn from these experiences to become better bowlers. India really pulled things back and almost almost took the game away from pakistan, had it been not for the 2 sixes.. He has only gotten worse ,His role is to get wickets up front thats his main strength and he is picked on that. He came as a guy who swung the ball bowled full and got wickets but now he is trying to bowl to contain runs.He is only going to get worse.
SLICKR392 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 We lost it when we were restricted to 245. but we made a match of it :nice: Should win some games though. Chewtiya DK. Imagine the situation if he had stumped him. Rubbish !
India-KXIP fan Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 OTT thread. He didn't bowl well in the beginning...but ended well. What about Bhuvi choosing to bowl from round the wicket to cramp left hander for room when he was getting nice swing away from leftie and in from over the wicket. He is an opening bowler choosing to be defensive when he could have gotten a breakthrough early on with swing. He gets praised for a good economy and that's why he doesn't really care if gets wickets or not.
King Tendulkar Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Bowled a great 49th over. Maybe he can learn from that and give him confidence with old ball?
CG Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 OTT thread. He didn't bowl well in the beginning...but ended well. Thats becoming a habbit and thats the problem he is picked to get wickets with new ball and no matter he bowls 8 overs up front if he gets wickets,i can understand him being hammered at death as its not his strength but in trying to improve his economy he has lost his wicket taking ability.
