rkt.india Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 He is rubbish. I was a big fan of him but he has not lived up to expectations. Could not score even on a flat Basin pitch on 2nd day. He is only good enough to play T20. Lack any decisive foot work and defense. Drop him I say for next test series and bring someone young.
Cricketics Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Yaar yaha par Ch)tiya bowling ka pradarshan ho raha hai and you are still after Rohit Sharma. Let's deal with one thing first. Don't bring Sharma into this.
Vijy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Take the O and the N in organization and it will become ARSON. Or perhaps Arseson.

GautiMaan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Something like Anti Rohit Sharma entourage or ensemble would be more catchy
Gollum Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The worst batsman in Indian cricketing history.
Vijy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The worst batsman in Indian cricketing history. I'm no RS fan, but he's not the worst.Think of the continuous run of 1 or 2 test wonders we saw in the 90s. some were terrible.

Sachin=GOD Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 threads like this show how impatient Indian fans have become. Rohit has played a grand total of 8 innings at the Test level and in these 8 innings he has made 2 hundreds and one fifty. So essentially the fans are asking for him to be dropped because he has not performed for 5 innings at the very start of his Test career.

Of those, 2 were at home, on conducive pitches against a poor WI attack. Of the remaining matches, he has shown only modest technique and poorer temperament.

Vijy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 WHo will replace him? Plenty of options - Jadhav and Bawne are my current picks. In the future, one can expect Baba to come into consideration since he's a useful part-timer. There's many other senior players around too such as the two Tiwarys, etc.

If he had not scored those hundreds then you would have said that he couldnt even score at home.

If he had not scored those hundreds then you would have said that he couldnt even score at home. Yep, we would have. For that matter, I don't think he can score 100s even at home against Oz or SA.

Why do we need separate criteria for him, just because he holds his pose after playing a drive?
