akshayxyz Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Its not the app, its the active userbase + more. Lets see, how many of them remain active if FB chooses to display ads on whatsapp... As someone hinted, it may be a price to kill a competition.. Most likely a combination of these and many other factors... like - userbase+existing userdata+competition+ecosystem etc. One way forward could be - they may very well keep whatsapp the way it is, and use its usage data to improve ads on FB or elsewhere.. Still it would be interesting to see the details of evaluation. I hope its not social media version of dotcom boom.
