One Israeli guy told that Neils island is far more private and beautiful ( but not many snorkeling diving spots ).. Seems only 3 resorts r there and price per day varies from 200rs to 1500rs max :giggle:

I was planning to go there or Lakshadweep around October-November. Am yet to check on what the weather conditions will be like, but suspect Lakshadweep might get ruled out due to the monsoon. I would also prefer Andaman because it might be cheaper and faster to get there from Lucknow-Calcutta-Port Blair rather than Lucknow-Madras-Cochin-Lakshadweep. You mention trainers - don't they take you in a boat and let you off at the spot of interest? Or does some guy accompany you during the dive? I've never done diving in India. Also, does the cost include rentals for a suit etc.?

Also, does the cost include rentals for a suit etc.? we can travel to havelock till may end .. july till september recives heavy rains .. for the beginners , trainer will give them basic trianings and throughout the whole dive he will be with them ( sort of they will accompany the divers one by one ).. if we want divers to be with us all the time , then we have to take the beginners dive all the time which is costly .. but there will be one or two trainers ( employeos of the scuba organizing group who are expert scuba divers ) coming with a group all the time .. cost includes all the scuba equipments necessary for the dive but they wont provide the swim suits .. we have to get it.. prices are negotiable for scuba dives .. they charge approximately 12k for 6 dives in 3 days for certified divers .. is it cheap ?? :hmmm: i recommend to carry snorkeling kits , though we can rent , its more economical to buy it if we are there for 4 or 5 days.. for snorkeling we can either take a boat and do in the middle of the sea in many coral areas , or near neils island .. also we can do snorkel near the seashore in elephant and radhanagar beach ( we can walk over corals during low tides :giggle:) ..
