We need to see him more, especially overseas. Here conditions were tailor made for him and then only one of Jaddu or Mishra can play and Jaddu gets priority because of his batting. At least one spinner is needed for left handers. Both Mishra and Jaddu are not that good against lefties.

But I feel he is now a much better bowler with more control. Yesterday it was not easy to grip the ball with dew, but he did well. Regarding that game, well it was on paata in Nagpur where 350 was chased down with ease. Other than that, he has played all his game overseas and not at home. So he has done well in the limited opportunities he has got. He averages 22 in ODIs and has an economy of 4.5 :hatsoff:

Regarding stats, bowling to poor batsmen of spin in Zimbabwe where the took 18 wickets in 5 matches and WI have inflated his figures. They will come back to earth once he plays a few series against good sides. As I said, competition is between Jaddu and Mishra, not Mishra and Ashwin because Ahswin can be replaced by an off spinner only. Playing both Jaddu and Mishra does not give you variety and they both will struggle against lefties and Jaddu edges him with his batting at 7.

Indian Cricket needs characters like him, its not all about winning or losing. Teary fast bowlers are a depleted resource world over, why not treasure and nurture one in our own backyard. Lil unfortunate to read so many negative comments about this young lad. Give him time folks

Watching Varun Aaron was painful, he looked confused, dazed, and honestly - a loner (ala Sreesanth). Seemed like he had support from nobody inside the team. Yuvraj and Dhoni both were seen laughing and almost mocking him at times. Sadly, I fear Aaron going the path of Sree... SAD. I know he did a piss poor job at fielding, but to his credit bowled reasonably well and deserves more.

I think the catch he dropped, he was vary of his finger that got injured in Asia cup while taking a catch. No use injuring it again in a meaningless warmup game. Though he has been a poor fielder since he I saw him first.

Its just poor of yuvraj and dhoni.Yuvraj also mocked kohli look where he is now.Aaron needs to perform and nobody will be able to throw him out.Jadeja was also mocking him in the first practice match.Hopefully he settles in.
