Sachin Tendulkar begins work on his autobiography Soon cricket fans around the world will come to know the story of Sachin Tendulkar from the man himself as the batting icon has started work on his autobiography. "The work on it has started. If I give out the details of it, then who will read it? When the time is appropriate, I will let you know [more about it]," Tendulkar said during a Reynolds event on Wednesday. Tendulkar said writing is not something new to him as he was used to writing letters to parents and Anjali from tours before the cell-phone era. "When I started playing cricket, there were no mobile phones. So writing letters to my parents and later on to my wife Anjali became one of the ways to stay connected with near and dear ones," the Bharat Ratna awardee said. Tendulkar's father was known name among Marathi writers and suggested that he wants his children to develop passion for writing. "Anjali and me would allow both Sara and Arjun to scribble on the walls when they were young." The dude is an open book. I don't see the reason for an autobiography but then if he thinks it's appropriate then It probably is.

I cannot guess any plausible reasons of him not able to spend his quota of funds, as MP, in his constituency... :hmmmm2: Was he not aware of the funds available to him? Was aware but clueless what to do with it? Didn't bothered about it? Hope he mentions about his experience of being an MP, in his autobiography... PS: I'm preparing myself to be hounded by fanatics now...

He has been spending his own money to do things in his constituency like adopting 200 children, providing toilet facilities, ensuring kids get an education, etc Two school under his care,one in Andheri and other one in Dadar under his full sponsorship where the school provides education, boarding and lodging, and extra curricular activities including cricket to poor students who would otherwise be begging on the streets. He has also started a meal program for women and their very young children at a few labor sites in Mumbai to prevent starvation and malnutrition. That's much more than what most MPs do and he has used his own money for all of it. You can calculate the cost for these things yourself

There are many things like having match fixers in his team, his opinion about other captains, etc. But knowing him, there will be nothing controversial in his book
