Sachin Tendulkar's greatest achievement is that he maintained the same level of classy stroke play for over 20 years. He was a joy to watch when on song, however when you play that long there are bound to be many failures as well, most notably the two WC finals and several 4th innings collapses which he was a part of. Regarding this award, I think he deserves it more than anyone else if you look at tests and ODIs collectively.
