Lets put all of these aside - can BJP tell us who funds these ads and how much they are funding? It's beyond my imagination how anything but a 100% electoral funding transparency can remotely change India.
BTW, BJP ads are of shorter duration.. Congress ads are of longer duration Any idea who spends more? ps: Its not a response to your post.. Do you know the numbers for each party?

Nice Ads, short, simple, witty and to the point, where as those congress ads with songs and all are really not worth it.... They are always eying on rural votes....:headshake:

BJP has multiple ads as well but Congress has one. Someone like "Saurav_01" will have more idea on how the TV ads thing works. Prima facie, Congress does appear to be spending more. The numbers for BJP and Congress can't be know as majority of their electoral funds are undisclosed. Someone like SP I guess has 100% translucent funding.

BJP's ad is 2D animated, it's much much cheaper to make than it's congress counterpart. But the ad cost will look miniscule if u compare them with the cost of a 10s slot charged by the broadcaster. I believe it's around 50k to 75k. you can do the math. :winky: Guess they charged 2L for a 5s slot on Tendulkar's 200th test. :fishing: Also, I can see so many con party ads in youtube. It annoys the hell out of me :mad:

As far as prime-time advertising goes, duration based cost is the highest expense........I believe a thirty second ad during this year's super bowl cost $4 million.......shorter ads cost cheaper as cost is directly proportional to duration......
