kablooee87
Pak. captain visits Sehwag to offer condolences New Delhi (PTI) - In a touching gesture, Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik and manager Talat Ali on Friday visited the residence of Virender Sehwag to personally offer their condolences to the bereaved Indian cricketer. Malik and Ali, accompanied by media manager Ehsan Malik, left for Sehwag's residence in Najafgarh immediately after their warm-up game against Delhi at the Feroze Shah Kotla to meet the star player who lost his father on Wednesday. The Pakistanis spent about 10 minutes with Sehwag and other family members as hordes of photographers waited outside. After coming out, media manager Malik said that they carried the feelings of other members of the team during these difficult times for Sehwag. Sehwag's father Kishan passed away after a heart attack on the day the Indian team, which won the recent Twenty20 World Cup, was felicited by the President and the Prime Minister in the capital. Pakistan, who arrived here on Thursday evening, will play five one-dayers and three Tests during their tour of India.
Ram
Thats pretty odd for a team manager and captain to visit an opposing team member's house to personally offer condolences. Its a very tough precedent to follow. Still, good gesture.Pakistan wanting to seem friendly and cordial which is nice.

Several Pakistani players (including Shoaib Malik) have lost family members in the recent past. I'm sure those players have a feeling of what it's like. That might be a reason they felt compelled to go.

coffee_rules
A very noble gesture from Pakistanis. I am sure Indians would have done the same if shoe was on the other foot (not wishing it to be).
