Yes and law of averages caught up and he came good in the finals and sucked the entire tournament. As well you could see that as great as he was that 1 match he was back to being awful right afterwards. Ive been eviscerating Yuvi this entire tournament and if Dhoni took my advice we wouldnt have been in this match.

I don't think its the right way of looking at it. Sure given the current score, 15-20 runs wouldn't have mattered, but what if SL had to start their innings with India's 160-170 on board. That is a whole different game altogether. You could see our dug-out when UV was failing to connect, frustration was there in everyones face. They knew the game was slipping. Honestly our bowlers actually made a good game out of it for 15 overs or so...

Cricket has a mental aspect to it. Another 15-20 runs would have buoyed our boys and also put more pressure on Cheaters right from the start.

psychologically it has a big effect. 150 on the cards and yuvraj ruined it. with 150 we could have more energy. our guys looked demoralised and p*ssed after yuvraj's match winning innings (for sl)

Go look at everyones strike rate for that england match. Gambhir tuk tuked his way in a high scoring game against England. I never said his 2 innings in 2007 were not crucial. They were. But the idea that "Yuvi won us 2 world cups" is a gross over exaggeration end of story. Irfan did more for the team in 2007 and Zaheer in 2011 to win those cups.
