One has to be good at both Islamic theology and accounting to understand how the balance sheet of divine justice functions. Mere mortals ( either believers or kafirs) will not be able to comprehend the complex calculations involved. Allah is the all knowing, and knows what is due to occur. That is why in classical Islamic jurisprudence there is a concept of reverse promissory justice. Meaning you are penalized for a crime which you ( or someone loosely related to you) would commit in the future. Azam Khan is one of India's leading scholars on this subject. Its quite simple. The 2005 Earthquake in Kashmir was in lieu of the Mumbai 26/11 attacks of 2008. Cyclone/Typhoon Katrina was in lieu of Miley Cryus becoming a superstar. History is littered with many such examples.
