Say someone like Amit Mishra had great last few months in International cricket but butchered in IPL by Maxwell. When selectors sit down to pick the team for England tour will his poor performance in IPL overshadow his impact few months before?

I am assuming IPL is used a selection criteria for T20s. IPL performances should be noticeable but not sufficient conditions for T20I selections. You can use IPL to get some people "noticed" but you'd still need to use domestic cricket as a very important yard stick.

He was slashing at everything. his famous hand eye coordination does not exist anymore. Its safe to say that his international career is as good as over
