SLICKR392 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 this captaincy is ordinary as well. Give it to Viru. It is not actually. And Viru was a horrible, horrible captain for DD. If it wasn't for Bailey, any other captain would have played Maxwell at #4 or #6. They are winning games and all the KXIP players looks very confident. He has been doing a good job as a captain, IMO. Drop Johnson, if you have to. Barely shows any commitment.

mancalledsting Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 After failing to read RCBs spin bowlers on Friday, Geoffrey Boycott quite rightly said: " George Bailey couldn't even pick his nose'"
fineleg Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 When will the point come for him to be dropped? Come again. Bailey is class in limited over type cricket. Bowler was none other than the king - Dale Steyn.
SLICKR392 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Come again. Bailey is class in limited over type cricket. Bowler was none other than the king - Dale Steyn. ++ Bailey has usually been a good finisher for Aussies. Love his approach in captaincy for T20s as well. Punjab fans are just asking for too much. They have a perfect squad laid out.

mancalledsting Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 An Ishant-esque performance today- produce trash for the majority of your career and then just when your ready to be dropped- provide a match winning performance. Don't forget his slow batting initially in this match put us under pressure in the first place. Also he whacked James Anderson in Ashes tests for 27 IIRC- but still proved to be a nothing test batsmen and was quite rightly dropped

Did you even watch his consistent knocks during the Aus-Eng ODI series?
Bleed-Blue Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Preforming Once Every Five Innings Is Not a Good Enough. Needs to be more consistent with the bat
CSK Fan Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Preforming Once Every Five Innings Is Not a Good Enough. Needs to be more consistent with the bat I dont think he got enough chances. Coming to bat with less than 5 overs left most times
Bleed-Blue Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I dont think he got enough chances. Coming to bat with less than 5 overs left most times Yeah true in the limited chance he done reasonable well but I would still expect abit more from the captain
Old guy Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Yeah true in the limited chance he done reasonable well but I would still expect abit more from the captain he will be key under pressure in future games players like him add so much more to team than just runs
SLICKR392 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 he will be key under pressure in future games players like him add so much more to team than just runs Exactly what I was trying to say. His captaincy in managing bowlers might be poor, but has been good overall. He's been leading KXIP like he did with the Aussies in WT20.
Bleed-Blue Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 he will be key under pressure in future games players like him add so much more to team than just runs Yeah is one of the seniors ,Was unsure about him at the start but can't complain if he has took us to the top of the table. He will be badly required in the knockouts
