http://www.hindustantimes.com/sports-news/cricketnews/upset-pak-says-bcci-making-excuses-on-bilateral-series/article1-1196852.aspx First in the Asia Cup, and now again on March 21, as the box-office clash between India and Pakistan draws close, anticipation growing around a possible bilateral series between the two countries in the near future is only natural. But the iciness between the two cricket Boards, after their fallout during the ICC revamp meeting in Singapore in February, has left the Pakistan Board stranded. Keen to resume bilateral cricketing ties with India, the PCB is set to approach the BCCI president N Srinivasan during the ICC meeting in Dubai on April 9 and 10. “We are keen to play against India to resume our bilateral ties; we are keen to play anywhere -- in India, Pakistan, or on a neutral venue -- whatever is acceptable to India. According to the current Future Tours Programme, India owe us a series, the BCCI is yet to honour it. We will speak to Srinivasan about the same in the next ICC meeting,†said Najam Sethi, the PCB chief. Quid pro quo A top BCCI official had recently confided that a series against Pakistan would depend on the PCB consenting to the revamp of ICC’s organisational and financial model, proposed by the Indian, England and Australian cricket boards. It would also be subject to the external affairs ministry’s clearance. Though the PCB has made up its mind to back the ICC’s revamp plan, it quickly dismisses any possibility of the MEA denying permission, citing it as an excuse by the BCCI. “The BCCI is the only hindrance between the India-Pakistan series. We were told that India’s Foreign Ministry is against the series. But we checked with our own ministry here as well as with their counterparts in India, and learnt no such sentiments prevail against the resumption of our cricketing ties. In fact, we had asked Srinivasan to produce any such letter issued by the ministry, and we haven’t got any reply till now,†Sethi added. The twin objectives After replacing Zaka Ashraf as the PCB chief following the Pakistani government’s intervention after the Singapore meeting, Najam Sethi has two immediate priorities: Say yes to the revamp plan and resume cricketing ties with India. Optimistic of defusing the current stand-off over the revamp plan, Sethi sounded a conciliatory note. “Everybody has signed except for us. We will join the rest, but only after we make sure what it means for Pakistan’s interest and what the big three bring to the table for us. It will be too hard to be kept away for too long. We have locked in our FTP commitments till 2020 with all, except India. Let’s see how sincere the BCCI is in restoring ties,†concluded the PCB head.

Lets face it India - Pakistan series is great for viewers. As a fan I would love to see a full cricket series between these 2 nations. If 26/11 or other political issues stopping it...then not much anyone can do about it.

Is that easy to forget 26/11?
1 Billion Indians forgot about it when Pakistan toured India last year. So how about a return series now you cheapos .. in fact its two series you us now.

wtf is wrong with PCB why are they begging, they got their odi series in 2012 so shut up when it is needed BCCI will call. no need to rush to play a series with them now

First PCB says they are going to "stand up against Big 3" and abstain from voting for overhaul, then call them names on media and now they are back to begging for a tour. What's up with these idiots ?

BCCI are the beggers who got two Pakistan tours in a row without reciprocating .. please open your small hearts and tour us in return ... also your excuse of not playing in the UAE is no longer valid :haha:

Keep sticking to your policy of "standing up against Big 3". I don't know why you are begging to play cricket with them now. All this whining is getting annoying.

Reminds me of Bhikharis in India.. When those bhikharis ask for money and you refuse them money, they call you cheapos and other names.. Even though while calling you cheapos, they would still say 'Bhagwan/Allah ke naam ek to de de baba'.. I see a similarity here..

Nobody owes you anything. In fact, PCB is surviving only because of revenue generated from India. Pakistan doesnt even play cricket at home and they bring nothing to ICC coffers.

Dear Cheapos ... once again I must reiterate that Pakistan has toured your nation two times in succession without a return tour. Both your excuses of 26/11 and not wanting to play in the UAE are no longer valid. Please grow a pair and fulfill your obligations.

how exactly care to explain, last odi series was organized at the insistence of PCB who were hell bent of resuming ties so it was squeezed in two big series . You are still stupid and naive enough to think BCCI really earns its money from that lousy odi series, it is chump change for it.

Pakistan have realized beggars can't be choosers. What happened to the gung-ho attitude just a while ago about standing up against Big 3 ? We are encouraging you to stick to your policy and refrain from playing any cricket with Eng, Aus or India. When is your next revenge tour of Zimbabwe ? Nice rivalry building there.
