If anything BJP has themselv aligned with parties that incites riots (PMK) and supports terrorist organisations (MDMK) in tamil nadu . BJP had no choice they were trying to woo Jayalalitha from 2009, what option they have left? Even she is personal friend of Modi but still she refused form alliance . People of all states need to think outside their state for national election

They have a strong vanniyar base, so will always stay politically relevant until some other vanniyar party captures that vote bank. But PMK has to align with some dravidian parties to win seats. BJP is not strong enough on its own and DMDK and PMK have a very uneasy relationship so they ended up sabotaging each other's chances

Maya , Mamata and Jaya are some of worst allies a national govt can get. Moreover these leader day dream of becoming PM without stepping a foot outside their state As far Kerala is concerned I think once people are brainwashed by marxists then they can't think outside the box, the other party too has to do Marxist like politics What rubbish? Loksabha MPs are representatives of their constituencies. If I have able leaders who understands issues of my constituency well and can present it at the national level, why should I choose some Outsider to do that? It shouldn't matter what the leader of the party think about herself in the long term, that's her wish. At the moment, she is doing great governing tamil nedu, and so votes went for her and her party. Kerala issue is very clear. Hindus who number to 35 % of population is extremely fragmented, and chunk of their votes go to the left parties. Christian and Muslim votes almost always stay with UDF. However interestingly these Hindus votes are now consolidating in favor of BJP. Best example is the capital where the BJP guy gave a run for the UDF candidates money. It was so close that till the very end, nobody could predict. Also bjp lacks any sort of leadership in Kerala. They need to unearth good leaders, install good candidates and results will follow.

DMK/ADMK sweeping polls.In 2004 and 96 ADMK didnt win a single seat and DMK lost all in 91 All this will force is DMK to go for alliance with PMK and others for Assembly elections Yes but all that time Dmk or aiadmk at least came second, here bjp has actually performed better than Dmk. Plus karuna was still young with a lot of influence. That is gone now. And also no signs of anti incumbency for aiadmk, which wasn't the case earlier.

TN has been better than most states despite thinking locally. What is the state of UP despite sending 4 or 5 PMs? All that matters what ur election agenda is.As long as its development it doesnt matter she is thinking Locally or nationally

That's why BJP a saying that they would like to get more outside into NDA even if they get enough seats - that was for more RS seats.

Stalin is more than a capable leader.Also DMK internal party structure is very strong .They arent going to disapppear. What this election has shown is ADMK vote share is stronger than DMK and DMK cant take on ADMK without allies.

Amma will be receptive as well i think.Wont even have much demands as in the past BJP alone has simple majorityCould easily placate her with couple of minor ministries. Not sure about Mamta. With Assembly elections coming in Bihar and Maharastra BJP needs to win them big i suppose

(I read somewhere) I'm sure, if Jaya/Patnaik are offered something , they would not have a problem voting with BJP on issues. So I don't see getting enough votes as a problem at the moment. (assuming NDA get ~330-340)
