Gambit
Wild child caught on camera He is just back from a 13-match ban, and his team is fervently hoping he will have sobered down. But Shoaib Akhtar is now caught inching back to his wild child ways as he hits the party circuit in Delhi. The undisputed bad boy of Pakistan cricket always in the midst of controversies and cocking a snook at his detractors. And just when you thought that a chastened Shoaib would be focusing on making his comeback after his ban from international cricket for bad behavior, he has proven that if he has to work hard he has to party harder. While the rest of the Pakistani team chose to party together rather quietly while in Delhi before heading for Guwahati for the ODI series, opener Shoiab Akhtar painted the town red. He was spotted at not one but at most of the reputed night clubs on Friday with a lady, his mystery date in tow. And though he tried to steer clear from being clicked the TIMES NOW team managed to sneak a few pictures. The lady with Shoaib is said to be a regular in Delhi's party circuit. But she was not the only one to be squired and dined. On saturday night too, Shoaib hit the trendy hotspots once again, this time with a new girl by his side. And as soon as the lens men started clicking them together Shoaib ducked for cover behind his bodyguard and they soon saw to it that no more pictures were clicked of the pair. Well, bad boy Shoaib seems in no mood to mend his live hard party harder lifestyle, this despite a dire warning from his coach Geoff Lawson who said this was Shoaib’s ‘last chance’. Perhaps its Shoaib's rather packed weekend schedule that left him a little off-color in the first ODI in Guwahati. Wonder what coach geoff lawson would have to say to that. Bumper
This is part of Akhtar's personality. No amount of disciplining would stop him, from living his life. All it takes is one bad performance & the PCB, media will pounce on him again Link to comment

gs
I dont understand why he should be criticised for a having a life?!? Unlike the rest of the mullah brigade, here is one guy who likes to go out and have fun. Unless his "night-life" has a direct bearing on his performance on the field, PCB will have to just STFU. I dont know why our Media and fans need to focus on what other country players are doing in their private life. Let PCB handle it if they think it affects his match performance. Link to comment

King
Good on him, he needs to have a life. What can you do after a day's game anyways? The official parties and functions are terrible experiences for every player. They just hate the official functions where they have to oblige signing autographs and end up posing for photographs. coffee_rules
This is not mainstream media to club it as "Indian" media and laugh at it. TIMES NOW is a tabloid and should be viewed as the tabloids of U.K. I guess in Pak the tabloid culture hasn't caught up. I am not proud of it, but one of the urban necessary evils. Link to comment
Gambit
What's the big furore over it anyway? He went to a club and was clicked. No different from any other page 3 party pics. Link to comment
Lurker
What's the big furore over it anyway? He went to a club and was clicked. No different from any other page 3 party pics. No furore in Pakistan so far as I know. This hasnt been mentioned in Dawn, Jung, News etc etc. The news has originated in India, covered by Indian media and debated by Indians. Go figure!
