rkt.india Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Seal porous Bangla border: Supreme Court to govt 1 week old news completely ignored by mainstream news channels and namo's cheerGirl brigade on tooter. Just like NDA 1 this Govt also seems to be completely incapable of tackling illegal migration from bang. LINK like any other govt has been successful.
mishra Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 like any other govt has been successful. Trying to protect the border and failing is different then facilitating the changing of demography of the region. Previous Assam/Center governments systematically encouraged immigration from Bangladesh for vote bank politics.
seedhi Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Trying to protect the border and failing is different then facilitating the changing of demography of the region. Previous Assam/Center governments systematically encouraged immigration from Bangladesh for vote bank politics. And the biggest weapon of this encouragement policy was the IMDT Act enacted by Indira Gandhi (what didn't she screw?!) which facilitated illegal immigration into Assam for 20 years until 2005 when it was finally struck down by the Supreme Court.
amiret Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Jaitley and his prior advocacy of Anarchical obstructionism :haha: Jaitley : Parliamentary obstructionism is a part of legitimate Parliamentary tactics. In this case, if obstructionism had not occurred, Mr Raja would not have resigned, the magnitude of the fraud would not have come to notice, and the issue would not have been brought to the centre-stage of the polity. LINK So Cong would be justified in trying to mimic the decade-long obstructionism of the BJP because of the magnitude of the Vyapam fraud , the terribly sinister deaths surrounding it and the need to bring it to the "Centre-stage of the polity" ?

There is difference between vyapam and 2G. Vyapam is related to state. 2G to center. Obstruct state assembly for vyapam and FYI, Vyapam is going on since Congres days in MP and at the center. Till last year, Congress was in power at the center, what did they do, zilch. Also, you would be naive to think no congress leader is involved in Vyapam. Also, congress was obstructing for Sushma Swaraj issue but no other opposition party supported them. They had to cancel dharma in front of Gandhi statue because no other party joined them. SP even said there is no need for Swaraj to resign.
amiret Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 On the same day that Retired Judge Jyotsna Yagnik claims threats to her life and that the Gujarat State Govt has ignored her requests for increasing her security cover .. Three Gujarat high court judges recused themselves from hearing appeals in the Naroda Patiya case and two of them — Justice M R Shah and Justice K S Jhaveri — had complained that some of the accused had tried to approach them. After the Judges complained and recused themselves , a new bench was formed and Mass Murderer Babu Bajrangi was granted bail for the SEVENTH TIME on tuesday . The Gujarat High Court has extended 2002 Naroda Patiya mass murderer Babu Bajrangi's bail period by ten days to enable him to undergo medical treatment. As usual selective quoting at work. What he actually said: There are but rare occasions in history when Parliamentary obstructionism is a part of legitimate Parliamentary tactics. In this case, if obstructionism had not occurred, Mr Raja would not have resigned, the magnitude of the fraud would not have come to notice, and the issue would not have been brought to the centre-stage of the polity. Therefore, we obviously do not want to use obstructionism as a frequent or indefinite strategy. 2G spectrum case, in hindsight, was one of the biggest ever scams to rock India. It involved central ministry and even the PM was allegedly part of it. Where else but in the parliament would these need to be debated on priority? Comparing this to disruptions in the name of issues like 'issuing travel documents to somebody' which is clearly isn't a matter of priority. Or the Raje-Lalit issue - clearly nothing to do with the Central Govt, or the vyaapam scam - again something that is a state issue and nothing to with the union govt.

I am not sure anyone obstructed the parliament to discuss the Sharada scam, or the 15,000 cr Rose Valley scam (both West bengal). In fact, despite the humoungous amount invovled in the latter, not even MSM has covered it in depth! So what exactly is that about Vyaapam that makes it suddenly obstruction worthy in parliament?

LINK LINK Is there now a systematic attempt to intimidate Judges presiding over riots ,corruption and fake Encounter cases ? How's this a Modi sarkar issue? I thought this thread was to discuss the Central Govt's performance and other matters. In any case, the same judges were provided "Z" grade cover in 2012, when Modi was the CM, and when the verdict was delivered. and when telephonic and letter threats surfaced, quite natural in the immediacy of such a verdict. After a period of time, obviously threat levels were assessed and the security cover was downgraded to Y. This happened last September, i.e after two years after the judgement was passed. How many unsavoury incidents were reported in these two years - NIL. So should the government continue to provide Z grade security cover till eternity for every judge who passed a verdict in a criminal case? Now let's look at the protection detail. Z grade protection - 22 guards Y grade protection - 11 guards, including two personal protection officers. Its not as if the entire protection has been taken away and they have been totally exposed. Further, there is nowhere stated they were approached by Babu Bajrangi, its rather vague and says 'some of the accused'. Who are these? What was the type of approach? Anyone can approach via calls and letters. Obviously the judges wanted to find a reason to recuse themselves. As to the bail, Gujarat government extended bail by 10 days, not 10 weeks or 10 months!

Amiret frequently cries for some terrorist encounter which foiled planned murder of Narendra Modi. Why do you think threat level to life of RSS head Bhagvat is same as that of not even heard of retired Supreme Court judge? or You seem to have your own heart ache against life of Bhagwat :phehehe:

amiret Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 "There is misconception over new GDP data" : Pronab Sen, chairman of the National Statistical Commission I think there is a complete misunderstanding among people as to what GDP measures. There is confusion in people that GDP is a measure of production. It is not. GDP is a measure of income and income is not necessarily equal to production. The problem crops up when you equate GDP to production you think about it in terms of volumes. And this is the error that people are now falling in. LINK To Business Standard , regarding back series data to compare Economic performance with the past : Many economists and institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India and Asian Development Bank are demanding the back-series GDP data to assess economic performance. Is it possible to come out with such a series, as sourcing is so different now than earlier ? Pronab Sen : It will be difficult. An International Monetary Fund team will soon come to advise CSO about the back-series data. It would suggest a methodology. However, it would not be binding on CSO to accept this. NSC will assess the methodology and take a call on it. So perhaps back series data will not be available by the end of they year as earlier indicated :hmmm:
amiret Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh on Farmer Suicides in India : made a bizarre comment in Rajya Sabha on Friday reasoning the spate of farmers' suicide in the country. The BJP leader said these suicides were a result of "love affairs" and "impotency" With more than 1,400 farmers' suicide being reported in the country since the beginning of 2015, a question was raised in the upper house of Parliament on the reasons behind these deaths. LINK In a written response, Singh said, "According to the National Crime Records Bureau, causes of (farmer) suicides include family problems, illness, drugs... dowry, love affairs and impotency,"
Detonator Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 According to the National Crime Records Bureau...
amiret Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Strange , the latest NCRB report does not even mention "impotency" as one of the causes for farmer suicides . I wonder which report he is quoting from . :hmmm: Even more surprising , number of farmer suicides in Rajasthan in 2014 = 0 . In 2013 it was close to 300.
RedFever Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 ^ However, what Singh said was no different from the UPA government's stand on the issue. Ironically, a similar statement was made by the then Minister of State for Agriculture Tariq Anwar in 2013. As the MoS agriculture, the NCP leader had read out a similar statement in Rajya Sabha, according to this report. Anwar had then said that according to NCRB, "causes of suicides include family problems, illness, drug abuse, unemployment, property dispute, bankruptcy or sudden change in economic status, poverty, professional problem, love affairs, impotency, non-settlement of marriage, dowry dispute, fall in social reputation etc".

seedhi Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 there is anyway not much different between NDA and UPA..Oh come on. Kejriwal could take Congress's support breaking the oath he swore on the lives of his children. At least He (your Khalifa) distinguishes between Congress (his half girlfriend) and BJP (his sworn enemy).
