Pawan Suyal a talent left armer still waiting to be found by BCCI

From what I see in this and previous ipl, he doesn't look like a good prospect. He is neither a genuine swing bowler nor a genuine fast bowler. He is average in both those skills. He is not tall as well. Only advantage is being a left armer. His bowling reminds me of sanjeeva de silva of srilanka. It will be really difficult for such a bowler to succeed in international cricket.

Yeah I agree, he's just an average trundler with no real specialist skills, the kind of which are dime a dozen in county cricket. Its understandable as the bowling cupboard is just so bare that any newish player who appears on the horizon is grasped at like a mirage in a desert.

Pacers get injured frequently. Rotation policy is oftenfollowed . There should be backup pacers who are capable of bowling 135 k + and with decent line and length. Most countries are overflowing with such pacers.. Even Australia has played shorter fast-medium pacers like Damien Fleming, Andy Bichel and Peter Siddle to name a few. Also....medium paced genuine swing bowlers succeed mainly in England and somewhat in SA and NZ. How many matches do India play in these countries ? Filling the team with erratic 145 k pacers or pacers with swing but bowling 127 k does not make a good bowling attack.

should try to bowl his natural inswing' date=' bowling a bit defensively, atm.[/quote'] what other option does Pawan suyal have now? He is bowling in IPL against international quality batting who have license to attack in 20 overs format. He has to be a bit defensive with defensive deliveries and yorkers to make sure that he is not kicked out of the team, he is already not given chance to play in Ranji by Delhi and if he loses IPL position too then he will be lost in wilderness. Just look what happened to Rahul Shukla, with no contract at any IPL team eventhough his price was just 10 Lakhs, he is a very aggressive fast bowler:

He has a rocket arm too remember him winning RR a match with a great runout.

Is rahul shukla being picked for shammi.
Till now no replacement has been named for Shami by DD and i doubt they will as DD was the franchisee who released Rahul Shukla.
Sadly' date=' Rahul Shukla has not been picked by any IPL team.[/quote'] He knows Rahul Shukla is not picked in auctions, he was just wondering if DD will pick him now that Shami is injured as replacement.

He is not even that quick. Mostly bowls in mid-130s.
He will bowl quicker. He can bowl around 140s consistently. It is just about confidence and believing in his ability. In his first ever game in IPL 2 years back against CSK, he was hitting 144-145K, but as he didn't get many chances after that, even for Delhi wasn't regular, lost his confidence. Now, he tries to bowl within himself.

Bumrah is also coming back from injury and looked rusty in the game he played.
Bumrah did not look fully fit in the last match. Is it prudent to play him ? Suyal was settling in nicely and getting his confidence back.
