Bangladesh rolled us out for 105 so South africa would have shot us out for 40 and you guys would be ok with that? Uttappa played 8 years ago, cry me a river. What a fecking tragedy. Move aside Romeo and Juliet Uttappa is playing after 8 years. Indian cricket is littered with people like that. Shikar Dhawan played for India after a gap of about 3 years and he came back with a bang. Ganguly was dropped after limited appearances and came back with a bang. The way Uttappa walks across his stumps tells me this guy does not have the technique to hack it on pitches with something in them.

These pitches aren't representative of ODI pitches in the world anywhere, very rare, you get pitch like this. Didn't watch England-SL ODI series, but they too got out for 67 and 99 respectively in 2 ODIs, but even those pitches mostly stay like this for one innings and ease out a bit later. Here in both innings, batting has been difficult because here we have exaggerated movement of the pitch along with uncertain bounce and ball is turning too.

Its not the pitches that matter its the weather overhead. Thats exactly what happened in our ODI v SL in the champions trophy. While i am not in a position to comment on pitches through the world. In England the weather above is the key indicator and not the pitch.

Raina is a good ODI bat (or even great) in india his stats outside india leave much to be desired.... Look them up.

Others are not playing ODI cricket regularly for India, these two have been with the team and this was the chance for them to press forward their claims. Not to be. It's not just this series. Even on A tours, the moment we come across slightly bowler friendly track, we have seen the specialist batsmen fail.

You cannot judge anyone on this pitch. it is not judging it is just an assessment of their techniques and temperament , most of middle order batsmen on this team look like they don't have any clue on how to bat time. Anyone can get out on a good ball but some of the dismissals have exposed their techniques and abilities in some cases. We can go back to WI tour in 2011, all new guys struggled against WI bowlers other than Dravid and Laxman to some extent none of those guys showed any skills which were overlooked in that series but caught up with them in England and exposed them brutally.

We need to get people like Manish Pandey, Mayank Agarwal, Manan Vohra and Manpreet Juneja ... M sure these guys will do much better than those in current India B team. Even Rohit Sharma needs to be thrown out of tests.
