India should give up their test status

It's been more than 3yrs since we last one an overseas test. Honestly with tours against england & aus this year & more tours vs aus, eng & sa coming up there maybe long time before we win abroad. While during this time: Aus has won in SA Eng has won in India NZ won in WI SL won in Eng Pak wins almost everything in UAE( neutral venue) & has odi series win in SA SA are best travellers So instead of wasting money by flying players business class & providing 5 star staying facilities for days just allow the players to play county, shield, SA domestics. The money saved can be used on improving domestic cricket so we can become worldclass in 4-5 years or so. Meanwhile we can play as many odis we want to prepare for 2015 wc.

Indian team was never known for doing great things overseas.
So why waste our time playing so many overseas tests. Think about what has happened for last 3 years. It is quite clear that neither the management nor the players care about them. It's as if the overseas tests don't count at all so why play them at all. Instead lets focus on the wc next year. We don't even know our team yet & it may well turn out to be 2007. We know only 2 players who are certainties i.e. kohli & dhoni. I know we play some odis in Eng &aus. But at that time we should already be trying out strategies instead of still trying to find out our players.

Here is an idea....stop watching and following cricket completely, revolution always starts with one man anyways :two_thumbs_up: The sad truth is the average cricket fan doesn't care or take to heart 8-0s and other test debacles.....forget overseas loses....was there any kind of backlash when we lost the home series.beleive me apart from icf r's not a lot of people took it to heart. The casual fan will follow t20 and Ipl or the odd odi depending on its importance.....the average fan follows lois and Ipl.what is the turnout of test cricket in major urban centers in India for a home game anyways? Spending too much time on a cricket forum might give delusions that every cricket fan follows test or even f.c cricket but the truth is no one cares. So it is simple ,test status is a badge of honor, there is a reason why test status is not given to every other cricketing nation, bccis big income is from Odis and t20s and in recent times Ipl obviously is the golden goose, which funds test cricket. Even in the 90s check how many tests India played. So for India to give up test status you need to stop watching all forms of cricket, that way the other board members can get enough balls to kick them out. Tu Pehle chal....hum tumhaare peeche hain :two_thumbs_up:

But atleast they beat the English at UAE a neutral venue. Whereas dhoni & co couldn't win even after having the home conditions & being able to influence the groundsman.
