Siraj has bowled better than the stat shows. However, Akash Deep needs to bend his back a bit. Hovering around 130's throughout. If he can bowl in 140's, now is the time. Add nasty bouncers and yorkers at good pace. Even if he doesnt get wickets, will keep batsmen on toe.

Yes, Harshit Rana would be a better choice. But I would have Rana over Reddy or Sundar.

It's amazing how much of a free ride Siraj Gets while a bowler with potential like Harshit is dropped after a couple of tests.

Lots of chances have not carried to slips while some other deliveries have reared up from a length. Batting here isn't going to be easy.

Ongoing 4th spell  .. 133 k to 137 k so far

 

Not sustaining speeds like earlier.

Akashdeep has not bowled too badly from what I saw. Lost his line a few times but had some close calls against Smith. An extra yard of pace may have helped but what can you do..

Akashdeep.is still better than Siraj.  Siraj is hardly bowling arnd 130 and worse he still can't keep it tight even at that pace .
