Very happy for Prasidh. I was one of the few who backed him when even experts in this thread didn't

Our pace attack is coming up decently.

Bumrah, Prasidh,Harshit for Aus/SA bouncy tracks

Bumrah, Siraj,Akash for England and NZ type tracks.

We need bounce bowlers in England and NZ too. Very often the pitches become flat in the 2nd innings these days.

We should seriously think about playing 4 pacers after removing senior deadwood batters and choosing 7 in-form batters in England 2025.

1. Jaiswal

2. Rahul

3. Jurel

4. Gill / Sarfraz

5. Pant

6. NKR

7. Washington

8. Harshit

9. Akashdeep / Prasidh

10. Bumrah

11. Siraj

Bumrah moving the ball at pace. Siraj moving the ball too.

Followed by tall Harshit and Prasidh bouncing the ball at pace.

If we had planned and played these 4 quicks in Australia  ( by giving Harshit some games before Perth  ), Bumrah would not have been over-worked and we would have had a more potent pace attack.

Was watching the highlights.

Prasidh bowled a lot of jaffas and snorters in his later spells. Lots of 139 k to 141 k balls.

We need a couple of tall 140 k+ pacers with bounce and hopefully he matures into one of them.

He always did that even in Indian domestics. Hopefully gets backed more.

Umran seems serious hard working guy

How's he doing in FC.

For Mayank only fitness is an issue. can be a Bumrah level bowler otherwise

I wonder what the captain Rohit effect on rookie quick bowlers is !

He did not give Mohsin a single match as MI captain. Dropped Akashdeep the test after a successful debut test bowled at pace and did not give him a single over in the 2nd innings even.

He likes " ready pacers " and displays angry expressions the moment a young quick goes for even a single boundary.

Even today, in his interview, he said that he thinks about today only and not 6 months down the line. It showed in the way he kept preferring " ready " domestic stalwarts even against weak teams like the WI and BD.

Harshit bowled well under Bumrah and digressed under Rohit. Prasidh bowled poorly under Rohit in SA but did well under Bumrah / Kohli.

The under-performing rookie pacers should share some blame too. And they will under-perform sometimes under a supporting captain too.

But a supporting captain / leader often converts the unsure and insecure mind to a confident and happy one and leads to performance. Like we saw with Ishant and Umesh under captain Kohli. The confident and clear-minded Bumrahs will always perform.

Yes.

Mayank, Harshit, Umran and Prasidh should all be playing some matches for India in 2025 and A-team games too and made ready-bowlers for early 2026.

Very good point. Rohit spreads the field and then blames bowlers. Worst captain we've had

Bumrah is going to get hammered into submission on day 5, if he dares to bowl. And I will celebrate the mediocrity of his swing bowling.

I am waiting in excitement to watch Sam Konstas and Travis Head!

the match is not going to day 5..going to finish by today the 3rd day..yiu will need to get Aussies out in 2 sessions..else they will win by day end..

If Bumrah isn’t bowling, most probably it’s some stress fracture of the back considering his past history and the recent workload.

Hopefully not. Else it’s going to be a long rehab considering that he already had a back surgery.

Prasidh bowling low 130s in his 4th over in this crucial 4th innings. But has got the first 2 wickets at least
