Not in this world cup perhaps as I've not seen any delivery hit 150 kph but he was hitting those in the Asia cup.

Express pacers are not encouraged to bowl that way but flat out bowl as fast and quickly as possible.

It can be done ,coetzee is a good example , likes of archer,lee, akhtar could do it.

In this age of super quality protective gear, thick bats and practicing with bowling machines set at 150 k and slingers with artificial arms slinging it fast .. just straight 150 k+ deliveries without surprise bounce won't trouble batters.

 

Express pacers must learn to attack the top of off stump at 150 k and learn some movement and deceptive bounce.

 

This must be done from the start of their careers.

 

Even small movement or unexpected bounce / steep bounce at 140 k to 150 k or higher can be impossible to handle for batters.

 

P.S .. Umran, in IPL 2022, was quite accurate and attacked the stumps at 150 k. Now he is bowling too many long hops.

Coetzee yesterday was bowling cross seam ,was not looking for any movement at all, just very tight line and length at pace .

Coetzee isn't express. Even he goes for a few trying to take wickets, a price which teams are willing to pay nowadays for the breakthroughs they can provide.
