The worst part was how one sided this final was. I saw no desperation to win this thing.

Even SA in the semi finals acted as if they wanted to have this bad. You gotta have that ability to step it up a notch when it matters.

Thanks, hope this would add some sense to the selectors to inject some bowling allrounders at no 8/9 for us. Added batting depth (without compromising on bowling) is always an advantage.

 

Also, lack of left hander in the XI is something which needs to be addressed asap.

With Bumrah's action , I don't expect him to sustain pace for much longer. 

 

It's also not to play the likes of Mukesh Kumar, Shardul Thakur etc .

 

Need to select the 5 best quicks and give all of them enough experience before next World Cup. 

 

Once again, just like in 2015, we had to play 3 flawed quicks for the entire tournament and could not afford to rotate them even a bit.

Yes definitely. The quality of the lower order batters has a cascading effect. The middle order is forced to go into a shell right from the stage we are 4 down.

 

And for the 1000th time, you gotta have an enforcer Quick bowler in the side. No compromises here whatsoever. Someone who’s fast and decent with his lines/lengths and most importantly someone who has that desperation to get at the batsmen. Not some timid cry babies.

This is what I never wanted go undefeated in the finals and then get pasted,it also gives lots of excuses to bootlickers like Gavaskar and others

They will sing praises for years how good India were untill that final but Australia are GOAT,no shame loosing final

Mind you getting blown away to this Australian side is no less than humiliation

This is not even 10%of former Aus sides

I count it as humiliation,these bastards should shove their heads in their holes

This would probably mean Shardul, Harshal, Deepak, Unadkat coming back  ... and not what we want.

Cricket has changed,we have been crying this

Multidimensional players are need 1-2 batsmen should be able to bowl spin and your best genuine fast bowlers in 145+-140+ bracket like  should be trained in batting and hitting regularly

Use them in bilaterals,like Greg used to do with Pathan

Also have gotta say, of all the Australian teams if the past, this is the most like able one. Guys like Marsh, Cummins, Green and even Maxwell, Inglis are not as obnoxious as some of the players in the past lol.

We had a chance to include Kuldeep Sen ( tall and bowls 145 k+ )  but Mukesh and Unadkat were brought in , in the series against the WI.

 

Now we have a chance to include Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana ... but most probably Bhuvi, Mukesh, Unadkat will come in again.

We also need to STOP this obsession of one player playing multiple formats.

Let Bumrah decide which 2 formats he want..Test or T20 or Test or ODI. Same goes for Siraj and other quicks.

 

No player should be playing all 3 formats..that will ensure we have enough resources to cover for injuries like Hardik had during the WC.

We need a combination of tall hit the deck quicks and shorter skiddy quicks ... not just all the same like we have now.

Bumrah is still one of the most economical pacers in the World and even today he was economical. 

 

And he is still bowling 135 k to 148 k after almost 8 years in international cricket and 2 stress fractures of the back. Shows that his pace is natural. He will probably be quick for atleast 4 more years. Thats isnt any different from the other quicks.

We could have rotated them if Prasidh was chosen in place of Shardul from the beginning.

We targeted 350 at the start, lost wickets and then played too slowly and were happy with 250 ish.
