Speeds and Performances of Pacers and Spinners

Have said this before. This bowling line up is a sunk ship.

Need to introduce some new bowlers. Guys like Mayank Tyagi Harshit.

I’ve never understood the fascination with Prasidh. Rarely bowls above 145. Slow ball is the worst. The only positive is that he ain’t short. I would have been okay with him if he at least bowled a heavy ball consistently but he does not even bring that to the table.

Bumrah is the only bowler who I’ll retain from the World Cup squad. Siraj is regressing.

even in IPL Prasidh goes for runs..he si not a fit for t20s..selectors are wasting opportunities and should try some other players..T20 is a different beast..even with all the attributes..you need to be smart to read match situation and vary your bowling..when he knows that there is field restrcition penalty in his last over..just Look at his face..he seems to have already given up..

one needs to back himself..21 runs were supposed to be defended..back urself to bowl 3 good bowls..

Hell yeah..even I would back mysef to bowl atleast 3 good bowls to anyone..

yorkers..wide yorkers..slower wide delveries\yorker..set field on off..and back ur self man..what the hell..

Krishna is not T20 bowler his slower ones are easiest to spot -Kind of a 2 days prior notice.

He should only be used in ODIs and not in last 5/6 overs he lacks run stopping capabilities, often bowls slower ones, wide (giving room to the batter) or easy bouncers.

Krishan can be used between over 9 to 43 and should be asked to hone his yorkers in those overs.

Kuldeep sen and umesh are similar as well.

Kartik tyagi is a poor man's prasidh but I will trust him over prasidh in the last over.

No idea about post injury Kuldeep, but pre injury Kuldeep was definitely better than Umesh.

On his debut game, against a rampaging Stoinis he has to defend same amount of runs...and he bowled 2 yorkers upfront to defend the target.

Tyagi's struggles with his line...but he has skills to bowl yorkers...he took 2 hattricks in upt20 despite missing initial games due to being in NCA.

Prasidh is different, his line & lengths are predictable as he bowls Test match length again & again...T20's need variety, which he doesn't have at the moment.

Fluctuating from 123 k to 141 k in SMAT.

This is Mohsin's natural speed ranges bowls lot of slower ones and mix it up with few quicks,

Him touching 145+ kmph in few occasion in that IPL was anomaly

There is a difference though...for first 2 overs he was 128-140.

Third & fourth over he was 123-132...was breathing heavily by third over itself.

Reminded me of Mohd Irfan tbh...he was another one who will run out of breath by 3rd/4th over.

Prasidh 1st over

146

145

144

143

But bowling in wrong areas and getting hit

He is not mentally suited to T20Is.  Looks so good in the longer formats.

Not just mentality, but capability too, He is unable to stop run-flow in Odis in last 10 overs.

Apart from Bumrah, we don't have a single pacer who has both white ball skills and sufficient pace combo.

All our other quicker pacers are basically test match + ODI ( overs 1 to 40 ) pacers.

Those Indian pacers who have some white ball skills are too dibbly dobbly or innocuous.

I don't understand why the Indian 140 k+ pacers don't practice bowling accurate yorkers, slower balls etc. in the age of T20s and fat IPL contracts.

Prasid's lines in this series have been very very poor. One of the pleasant surprises after his comebacks were his speeds. He is definitely quicker than before but he is unable to bowl in the channel.

In Ind cricketing circles yorkers are high risk proposition, so they donot bowl yorkers, same reason top Ind batters do not play sweeps-high risk proposition.

Plus there are many bowlers who can not bowl at same speeds when bowling fuller length - Saini / Avesh are few examples.Ind bowlers always have longevity in their  mind  and it take a lot of effort to bowl yorkers so they ultimately reduces bowling yorkers- Zaheer is an example of it.

When Zaheer bust into Intnl scenes he had v.good yorkers and was able to execute it with the new ball as well but as time progressed he kind of stop bowling yorkers and then at very end of his intnl carrier he again started using yorkers but only in last 40-50 overs

We are not picking right players for the job...  Picking random trundlers & repeated failures like Avesh Arshdeep Mukesh Chahar is not the answer..

You need to pick people with some upside & then develop their skills.

If Harshit Rana was bowling well for KKR & his domestic team...  He should have been picked.

All blame should go towards selectors who have no idea about players & BCCI who allows so much incompetence that it is mind boggling.

Bumrah's won't come ready made but you have to make them.

Giving Prasidh games in T20 which is his weakest format is proper clown show.  They might have destroyed his confidence & perhaps a future Test career as well.

Mukesh is like Harshal will flatter to deceive.

What happened to Nagarkoti? Haven't heard about him in a long time. He didn't participate in RPL or SMAT. Now not part of Rajasthan XI in even VHT. Is he injured or just not good enough to get into Rajasthan XI?

you never know, considering he is nowhere to be seen, only clicks selfies on instagram, he may be planning to move to a lesser state like others such as Akash singh..

It is best to introduce high ceiling pacers like Mayank Y, Harshit and Tyagi via ODIs and not T20Is.

Ideally, we should have had some experienced quick pacers with T20 skills, but we don't have any except Bumrah.

And medium pacers Mukesh, Avesh, Arshdeep, Chahar etc. won't win us T20 World Cups.

Our pace attack is good in tests snd ODIs but absolute sh!t in T20Is.

Harshit showed T20 skills while playing for KKR & was unhittable in PP with sharp bouncers &,  stock off stump balls.

He was improving in Death as well.  Much better than Mookesh & Avesh all season.

ODIs won't be played much from here on...  I think he deserved a T20 call up.
