This experiment with Shri Mukesh Kumar should stop now.

There is another Bihari Babua in the bench who should replace his state mate and team mate.

who? I remember there were few really quick bihari bowlers in the domestic circuit

I wanted Tyagi to go in KKR.

Alongside Starc..Tyagi could have played with Harshit Rana as well.

GG usually supports fast bowlers.

But Nehraji is not too bad either.

Steyn the bh@@$@d man wasted entire 2 seasons just hyping Umran and salivating over him(not against it at all but should have equally hyped and created buzz around Tyagi also)

Euuuge disappointment from Steyn for this

Should have played Tyagi more worked with him

When you are Steyn ,much is expected from you

Steyn didn't get a freehand. SRH mgmt interferes too much on top of that Hyderabad stadium has slow low bounce pitches.

Umran was sensational when IPL was played in Mumbai.

SRH this year has bought Unadkut alongside Bhuvi & Natarajan. All 3 trundlers who will suit Hyderabad style pitches.

They could have played Tyagi last season and a season before as well

Umran was sensational but later half he struggled, could have used Tyagi for 5-6 games where Umran struggled

Edit-I know it's not bowling coaches job to select bowlers for a game,it is by the TM but endorsement should be made regularly for all fast bowling prospects

Gaurav Yadav in his time was well in 150s sheer pace visually insanely quick

May have been quick, but 150 kmph is doubtful. 150 kmph are not easy to bowl.

There would be few more bowling in high 140s but they do not get chance to play into their domestic sides. Ind domestic is not one of fast bowlers.

Sub 135 kmph  bowlers are highly rewarded. 140/145+kmph needs alot of support to grow and develop.

At that speeds everyone starts to be wayward plus injuries are v,much the part of the cycle, need proper conditioning and recovery cycle. Most domestic teams are not ready to put in that kind of investments.

You can argue for that, I understand that is subjective

But I have seen enough of these uncapped bolwers and more so here

Infact most older members have that eye for pace

We have been majorly accurate with our eyetest:wp75: here

He has been no less than peak Umesh Yadav in terms of pace in his time

Mohsin I think has lost Good pace...  If I were LSG I'd have Yudhvir & Mayank higher above him in pecking order.

Mayank especially should be in starting XI.

Mohsin isn't an out an out fast bowler anymore...he is someone whose pace will always be up and down. But he has that combination of bounce & control which T20's desire, has intelligence of bowling slower ones which SMAT batters have found tough to negotiate.

Rashik is not that fast and that tall, kamboj is sub 140 kmph (per speedometer in vht) but bowls tight lines.

Plus none of them can bat apart from Hangargekar and Rana

Not a new revelation, this is how fast bowling is being coached everywhere, basic fundamentals of clean action, good height and then build on the pace and then try controlling that pace then you add on the skills.

Look at recent greats - Akram was fast to start with later he added indippers, Steyn was fast and only had 1 kind of ball- outswing he never tried to add anything else.

Lee had ball leaving the rh batters he added incoming ball v.v.late in his carrier.

Look at Bhumrah he had decent pace and just 1 ball full, he added skills on top of it. Pace and bounce should be the foundation around which you develop the skills.

In Ind TM and selectors are selecting bowlers who are sub 140kmph and then they try to build on pace in Intnl games and in the process they get injured and then lose the pace they build and the skill they had. Yes blower have to keep improving the speeds and ability to sustain it for longer period of time.

Ind has dedicated fast bowling MRF academy with Lilly coaching in there for a long time do you think he does not know it. Its been about how the bowlers are endorsed in Domestics and their selections.

Saw some highlights on Aus vs Pak Test match - Akram was mentioning the speed difference between the Aus bowlers and the Pak bowlers , though the Aus bowlers were not that quick but there was 10 kmph of difference between them. Even the Aus commentators were mentioning that.

Ind test and OdIs Ind needs to pick high pace bowlers and work on their skill set. T20s are v.different - Even top bowlers Steyn, Cummings can nt crack the code.

I think Pak team has some idea of it -They have variety to their attack and they have variations. Rest of the team are on different path where they are selecting bowlers with batting ability/hitting ability, if they have no mystery to them.

Only India is an exception where the lazy ass trundlers are glorified and the fast bowlers are ridiculed.

IPL teams will salivate on the young fast bowlers of SA & SL, but they don't want to develop Indian fast bowlers.

Akashdeep can bat

Rashik isn't not that fast but he bowls good yorkers at the death and swing new ball.

From specifically T20 POV...Rasik, Yudhvir, Mohsin, Mayank, Hangargekar & Tyagi have the skills to do well in shortest format.

Do not think its IPL team 's job to develop bowler or batter they are there to make money on their investments. And with IPL system where you have to release players after sometime there is no point in developing when they know player is going to be auctioned again.

Take Gill for instance KKR kept 3 of the top U19 players hopping 1 of them will make it big and when Gill made it to Ind team and is a regular they lost him.

They will pick ready made or marketable product, if trundlers makes to Ind team then IPL teams will pick these trundlers as they are more marketable and they will get such Ind players in their team as they have higher chances of making to Ind Intnl.

Couple of years back when Ind team was looking for a no. 4 all Ind hopefuls started batting at no.4 for their respective IPL team.

Development plan has to be set-up by BCCI, Identify 145+ kmph bowler bring them to NCAs work on them ask Domestic team to look into them and then work with IPL teams on that.

There are multiple 140+ kmph bowlers who are not being selected for their state sides and when they lose the sting they are considered.

Also in recent time what has been noticeable is that Ind fast bowlers are losing their pace when they are supposed to be at their prime - Avesh is 26 and bowling sub 135 kmph, Mavi is hardly touching 135.
