I don’t see anyone even come close to bowling a spell like what Shamar Joseph did in their famous test victory over there. Forget bowling aggressive spells like what Nortje did the last time he was over there. 

 

 

Among our rookie genuine quicks, Mayank isn't fully fit yet,   Umran was picked but is down with dengue,   Sen is recovering from a knee operation. 

 

Harshit is playing and hasn't bowled yet. But he hasn't played any matches in the recent past and maybe rusty in this match.

Akashdeep isn't looking match fit.

 

Bowling 10 k slower and with less bounce than normal. 

 

The speed guns maybe giving maybe around 3 kph lower reading though. ( as is usually the case in domestic red ball matches ).

Yes, Umran and Mayank are the only 2 quick pacers.  And now let’s see how Harshit bowls.
Is Mayank actually unfit or are they just wanting to condition his body? He's bowling 8-10 overs a day apparently. 

Umran when he gets fit, at least needs to be first choice and played.

Commentator was crying about Harshit's length that he has to pitch it up and make the batsman drive but Harshit is not a swing bowler to do that. Mostly hits that good length hard and seams the ball and gets bounce.

I remember Umesh bowled 142 k in Irani Trophy in 2011 and crossesd 148 k in internationals a few months later.
