Fastest Balls by Indians in IPL 2025 ....

Prasidh.      150.6 kph

Siraj.            149.6 kph

Harshit.       147.5 kph

Bumrah.      147.1  kph

Simarjeet.  145.5 kph

Vyshak.      145.x kph

Shami.        144.4 kph

Umran, Tyagi, Sen, Ashok and Nagarkoti did not / could not get to play.

Top 4 are selected for England tour.

Most of the newer pace bowlers being developed are so innocuous.

Hope Prasidh and Harshit come good.

Otherwise it is back to the 1980s.

India A pacers were mostly bowling in the 120 k to 130 k range in the 2nd match.  That is a 15 kph to 17 kph drop from the group of Bumrah, Shami, Umesh, Ishant bowling between 2016 to 2023.

What is our future plan regarding pacers ??  Do we want 125 kph pacers after Bumrah and Shami hang up their boots ??

Why did Harshit not get to play the 2nd match in place of Deshpande ?? Everyone says that he needs more FC matches under his belt, to cut down the one boundary ball every over. But he does not get enough chances to do this.

Harshit added to the squad as the 19th member.

Some of the chosen pacers ( not named ) have minor niggles, and hence this step.

Most probably Bumrah, Prasiddh after long IPL season

I'm sure Prasidh who bowled with full energy and enthusiasm in IPL will meekly trundle in favourable and pleasant conditions there

Bumrah as well

Bumrah could possibly, he is being too cautious on workload. Atleast that's what I understood in the podcast with DK.

Siraj too can, he bowled with lot of energy at the start of the IPL, then just tapered off.

I think bUmrah must retire from t20s or maybe odis

For quite some time Bumrah does not play bilateral ODIs and T20Is unless it is just before a WC.

Basically he plays just the WCs and one preparatory series before that.

That is not much workload in white ball.

Seems Bumrah (and BCCI) both are prioritizing Tests, makes sense as well coz every figging game of Test is part of WTC Championship. So either play your best XI, for lose the Championship.
Unfortunately, Bumrah's fitness and the over-reliance on him by the captains is weighing him down. Be in new ball, before lunch, before tea, tailenders, set partnership...no matter what's the situation, captain looks to Bumrah for the bailout. That's where we are missing Shami, who can take the load off Bumrah.

Siraj isn't of that calibre, he is an slightly improved version of Umesh. Will go missing for most days and then suddenly comeup with a bustling spell. He is a third seamer who is expected to carry on the duties of second.

No wonder our peak pace attack was Ishant, Shami, Bumrah with Umesh as backup. They all were able to manage the workload of each other, now Bumrah is doing everything all by himself.

That's his choice, though I guess he will retire from ODI's post 2027 WC. T20's not sure, maybe he will continue till 2028 or even 2030 (just like Nehra).
Tests is where I'm mostly looking for, maybe after 2029 WTC final he will call off the day (will be 35 by then).

Excited for bowling attack of Bumrah, Prasiddh, Siraj, Harshit for the England test series.

If Prasiddh and Siraj perform as per their ability they can give usva series win in England.

Iam exited about Prasiddh. He is bowling fast ,with good pace and he can be a surprise pack if he remains injury free.

Harshit may learn from Bumrah and Siraj.

I’ll be happy if he completes the 2027 cycle, don’t see him playing tests much beyond that.

I think he will play beyond...unless there is serious injury.

Till 2027, he will be just 33...he can play till 35, though his participation may be less frequent.
