He isn’t doing nearly enough. Umran got discarded comically into oblivion from internationals to absolutely nowhere to be seen. That’s one career ruined and Agarkar has a big role in it. 

I understand dropping but a young guy needs to be played at least in A games n stuff after being dropped (due to some moronic captaincy too). Also some of his high performance contracts  (or whatever the hell they call it) aren’t good choices too.

Umran was not wanted by Dravid and Rohit. Laxman did not encourage him either as a temp coach.

 

And Umran himself seemed disinterested in half the Ranji matches he played in.

 

Then he got injured for a year.

 

Yes  .... he could have been tried in more India A Unofficial ODIs before injury a year back. 

 

I get the impression that Agarkar basically picks pacers who are favoured by the current TM, be it for the Senior Team or India A.
