first time i m seeing dube bowling ok..he bo9wls 124k bouncers which hit the helmet.

Nitish does not have the capability to bowl good bouncers where as Dube does bowl bouncers.

Nitish as a bowler looks like a simple straight bowler , lot of talk was about his pace increasing which looked true as earlier he was bowling 125 to 130k bowls 126 to 136know

Bowlers like Nitish, Dube will only bowl well if the lead bowlers perform well.
They aren't gonna make any difference if the lead bowlers fail to perform.
Mayank caused havoc, Zimbabwe was at the backfoot...hence Dube can bowl without much baggage behind his back.

Harare Pitch had lots of bounce and carry making even Dibbly Dobbly Dube seem serviceable.

You won't find such surfaces in Subcontinent

What's exciting about Mayank is he was able to move the ball at that pace, his second delivery was unplayable and it also showed he can get the ball up instead of just back of a length, many fast bowlers in India struggle with fuller length. This is what made him more effective that Ashok.

Mayank has rare ability to find nip and seam at extra pace.  He is like Archer in that way.

Vaibhav in Lucknow had tough time facing him when he was going all guns blazing on others.

I think what made Mayank more effective than Ashok was that Mayank was targeting good length off stump ball after ball and used bumpers as surprise balls.

Whereas Ashok was trying a different type of delivery every ball.

This is such a rudimentary mistake by newbies .... I don't know why bowling coaches don't guide them better.

In my opinion, Mayank is quicker through the air, so he is more capable of moving the ball in the air. Ashok is hit the deck bowler, his strength apart form pace is his build, his focus should be on seam position and getting the ball to move of the surface, I hope no one tinkers with his action.

Both are hit the deck express pacers.

But Mayank has a more bouncy trajectory. Bowls a heavy ball. Hits the bat higher on an average. Gets more carry. Similar to Bumrah, Srinath, Gurnoor, Prasidh. These pacers will get more edges.

Whereas Ashok is skiddy off the deck. Such pacers hit the sweet spot of the bat and can go for runs unless they get movement or are accurate. But they can be beasts if the ball is reversing or they are getting indip and are targeting the stumps at pace. He is like Umesh or Umran in this regard but with a better bumper and yorker.

I hope Laxman mamu dont fall to the narrative of "sabka saath sabka vikas" and start rotating the bowlers...to give everyone an equal opportunity.

Not that Yash Thakur is bad, he is good but he shouldn't come in expense of Mayank or Ashok. And Prince desoite his limitations will play this game coz he picked up wkts vs Zimbabwe.

Prince is seen as a vital part of the pace attack, rest of the attack must revolve around him

High potential pacer ,harmless eco friendly overs with lots of mileage

Who are thetop 25 players/performers BCCI talking about?

BCCi barely gave any info about players and squads so don't expect much.

Only highest run getter and wicket taker were highlighted

Pitches look pace friendly from pictures.. 4-5 slip fielders are unusual otherwise in India

To me, it looks like IPL speed guns show higher speeds. Yesterday, Mayank looked very quick but speed guns showed lower than expected. He looked as fast as I have ever seen him bowl.

hmm..or may speed of the deck is faster here in Zim?
