There are not even 5 fast bowlers on the bench. Either they have to back to avesh/mukesh/deshpandey/kamboj or stick to rana/pradish/gurnoor etc... Yes pradish has not be top quality bt what other options do they have. ind pacers takes alot of time to develop. Even siraj took time. He used to go for runs in ipl and white-ball, he 1st established himself in red-ball then in white-ball. Edited Monday at 03:58 PM by tapandrun
singhvivek141 Posted Monday at 05:07 PM Posted Monday at 05:07 PM I am not able to understand the issue with Prasidh in the red ball. Except for SA tour, after which he got injured. He has picked up 30 wkts in 7 Tests with an avg of ~21/22. What more we want him to do ? Yeah, he doesnt deserve T20 and even ODIs we dont need him. But he hasnt done anything wrong in Tests atleast. express bowling, Rightarmfast, bouncers and 2 others 5

Eden is there as well. Prithviraj Yarra has brilliant numbers in FC, he has lower avg and lower economy than Anshul Kambojh. He is 28 already and has good exp as well. express bowling and bouncers 2

There are not many other options, unless they are going to recycle avesh/mukesh. who are better options that Ind can play. There was no foresightedness and now Ind does not have any bowlers or test batters. right now Ind should look at developing some pacers for test and treat this wtc as already gone and build a team now. priority 1 should be Odi wc. looks like its on back-burner at this point.

Harshit is injured or recovering from injury, Yes gurnoor is there, ashok is injured as well or recovering, eden has hardly played domestic, yarra was injured during the ipl. gurnor was going for lot of run in pjb t20 league. there are no real options left. Not sure why vvs is not held accountable for re-occuring injuries how the players are getting noc to play and few games and they get injured again. Such bowler bowls attacking lines which often becomes a problem in T20s...Shami has struggled in T20s for eternity, until he became a new ball expert. Siraj too struggles a lot in T20s, Umesh, Ishant, Prasidh, Akashdeep none of them are good in T20s. Arshdeep who is good in T20s is bang average in FC. Bumrah has spoiled our habits. He is the only all format bowler in the world and across countries. Anyway, we need to bring in fresh pacers soon, wont be a bad choice to see what Limbani, Naman or Devendran can offer. Not sure what happened to Hangargekar. Edited Monday at 06:49 PM by singhvivek141 tapandrun and express bowling 2

Not sure what happened to Hangargekar. Lambani is not that quick, naman is not that tall, deepesh has not played any domestic yet Yes that the issue there are no 3 format players, there never was unless you try to play all formats same way. Have been mentioning this Ind pacers takes alot of time to develop, even then they are not good across the 3 formats, you have to give time chance and try out what works for them. There was no foresightedness so largely this will take alot of time. Issue here is with A tours or low interest series Ind is selecting low potential bowlers who can not be longterm solution in any format

tapandrun Posted yesterday at 01:45 AM Posted yesterday at 01:45 AM (edited) Food for thought : By obsessing over the rare commodity of an all-format spearhead, India is inadvertently shrinking its fast-bowling pool; instead of cultivating a deep reservoir of talent for specific formats and conditions, potential specialists are being neglected in the hunt for an all-format savior Here are the options: Simranjeet Mishra Mukesh Choudhary Mukesh Kumar Tyagi Umran Sen Edited yesterday at 01:46 AM by tapandrun express bowling and singhvivek141 2

What was hip top speeds for rr -- 142 kmph ?? Dont remember for RR, but for CSK I remember him clocking 148/149. He always had pace, but his other skills were pretty limited. To add to it, CSK isnt known for supporting fast bowlers, coz Chepauk during Dhoni's prime years was a slow turner with bounce. Hence the faster bowlers deliveries will sit right through in the hitting arc... tapandrun 1
