India-KXIP fan Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The trio of Dhoni, Jaddu , Binny shouldn't be in test side. Too much of a liability with the bat abd Binny won't consistently get 3-4 wickets a test. Fletcher needs to go too, need a stronger coach who will stand up and actually have some say to prevent such a "we're improving" attitude and a say to avoid these horrible selections.

Just after this Rahane scored well for India in SA and I reckon Saha is also a much better bet than Dhoni. Defensive captaincy won't win you anything in Australia either so he's gonna be no good for World Cup either. Dhoni has had some remarkable achievements, mostly only in LOI's but his time is up. You have to be good enough to hold a place to retire. Dhoni isn't, needs to be dropped.

Now Binni is going through same phase with few good performances but any tom dick and harry can see he is no international class (both ODI and test) and will eventually be a liability in future. Ashwin is a class spinner and must get the backing even with few failures. So does players like Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron and Pankaj Singh. Binni, Jaddu, Dhawan type players can only take you so far and will not reap you any long term benefits in test cricket.

Dhoni needs to go as a test skipper but must play as a wicket keeper if his ego don't stop him to play under his juniors. He should quit after Australia tour. In ODI's he must lead till world cup then hand over to Kohli and play as a player for 2 more years mentoring the team. In T'20s retire immediately.

Let him have attacking fields instead of defensive and he might get some. He is certainly capable. His batting is a good thing for india. Him over jadeja any day

We need someone who can actually be a good classical spinner not darters or carrom specialists. Playing one for another doesn't add a thing on the whole. Ideally both with dhoni should be sent home in exchange of better spinners.

Our young bats have repeatedly credited Fletcher for their performances .So its better to keep him at least world cup IMO. Ultimately the buck stops at Captain win or loss.Coaches have little authority or influence in a match. So Dhoni needs to be held accountable solely.

Compare this guy to the other bowling coaches around the world. Honestly, I din't who know the feck this guy was before his tenure with us.

And when Ashwin was picked for the first test in SA he made 13 runs in 1 match and did not pick any wicket . Jaddu will make 20-25 runs each innings and will pick 1-2 wickets every match. So Dhoni is stuck with this loser for foreseeable future.
