Why do people want rohit back?

Recommended Posts

It shows how you should take the experts opinion with pinch of salt. Rahane did not have even 5% of that hype from these guys.
Rahane looked all out of sea in lois and even the resident icf experts gave up on him....he turned it around and now he is here to stay. Before rahane made his test debut or before s.a tour it looked like there was a gulf between rohit and rahane in terms of talent, you cannot deny that and I will be the first one to say he deservingly raced ahead of rohit in the pecking order.:hatsoff:

Not just Rahane. Vijay, Dhawan, Pujara, Kohli, all made international debut after Rohit sharma.

actually if you watch symonds interview, he says that he would love to have rohit sharma and raina in the oz team. he adds that rohit sharma has immense talent but very poor work ethic and even he an outsider though a teammate in DC had to nudge him to push harder and not to relax so soon. he even says that raina's work ethic is superb. actually raina and rohit are comparable in the sense that one doesnt have what the others has. raina doesnt have the understanding of batting that rohit possess and rohit cannot for the world work half as hard as raina (until now atleast).

Boycott told yesterday ' date=' except rohits and his right hand no one else wants rohit back :giggle:[/quote'] Boycott usually is sarcastic about every one.....just a funny ol grandpa. The fact that rohit sat out for binny caused a world outrage.

Cricketers generally try to be a little bit more generous about their fellow players. There have been underachievers in cricket. Carl Hooper is one. Immense potential. Always found stupid ways to get out. Rohit is not like that. He has genuine limitations. But he is able to successfully mask with some fluent shots. Though he is not half as good as Yuvraj he probably has marginally better technique. Only marginal. That won't cut it for Tests. Against moving balls he is a sitting duck. He just follows the ball.
