This is coming after 4 failed series ending a long drought. From that perspective this is memorable as well. Perth win was a good one.. Better opposition.

For me its 50-50 between Perth and Durban. Before the Durban test,we were down and out,saffers especially smith were undermining India's #1 ranking and thought they would whitewash us by preparing a grrentop but boy didnt we fought back like champions and shut them up. Even in Perth many thought we were down and out with 2-0 down and morale was low but again we broke their winning streak of 16 tests. Both are the best

Adelaide 2003 anyone? I haven't seen the match live, but I remember a star sports special on how Dravid single handedly won the game for India. 240 and 70 odd i guess.

Lords leads Perth? Is this a joke, or were all the people who voted in this poll born after 2008? Just a quick refresher course for those with fickle memories – Perth 2008 was probably played in one of the most charged atmospheres that a test match can be played in. Heck, the game damn nearly didn’t happen because of the fall-out from the 2nd test at Sydney and the way it ended. To add to the effect, there was absolutely no love lost between the teams after what happened in Sydney (Michael Clarke claiming bumpers in the slips, Andrew Symonds given multiple lives by Bucknor, Anil Kumble coming up with one of the all-time memorable lines from an Indian captain in the post match presentation [‘Only one team played with the spirit of cricket’], allegations of racist taunts against Bhajji etc). If my memory serves me right, the BCCI nearly sent a charter flight to Australia, ready to fly back the team in case tensions didn’t cool down. And then the actual games itself. Even though both Lords and Perth measure up equally when it comes to the Indian team overcoming adversity in the game, we had to play off our socks on day to defeat the Aussies on day 5 (that Ishant spell to Ponting!). The poms all but waved their white flag against and collapsed spectacularly against us in their 4th innings. When we won in Perth in 2008, it felt like a personal, intense accomplishment for most Indian fans. Lords 2014 is memorable for sure, but does not match up to Perth in every which way.

It was a good match.. but Australia did not have their frontline bowling line up. Also in that match they lost one bowler.. virtually reduced to 3 bowlers on a flat road.

That bowling line of gillespie,macgill,lee,bicheal is better than most current attacks.

Perth 2008 is by far the best test win of India among the options. I'll say it is the 2nd best test win ever after Kolkata 2001 . Lord's win leading isnt that much surprising as people tend to have short memories in sports :cantstop:

All of the team contributed and matured. The anderon-jadeja angle also added intensity. Lords 2014 deserves the praise it gets. Perth 2008 slightly more memorable. At least new fans are getting into the recent test matches :D

Gillespie was a joke bowler in that series. Serisouly one of the worst bowling form he was in. If Warne can't do what are the odds of McGill. Bichel was largely ineffective on that road.

We have give credit to indian team for playing gillespie well as he did well after the series everywhere,The pitches were flat given but we played well.Macgill would walk in to most current sides he was unlucky he was in aus.
