Always wonder why you see great competitive matches when someone else captains india? I.e. kohli in WI tri series 2013, Raina in BD 2014? Its because they do the basics right, they attack, they use their resources and they want to win badly. You dont often see negative tactics.. they always talk about whitewashing the opposition, clutching the series. See raina's tweet after lords win.. "now go for series win" - thats the mentality and even he knows dhoni sucks balls as a captain

So 1-0 lead and psychological advantage is enough to go on defensive with 6 batsman and 1 half-**** allrounder. I think he was looking back at Ind vs Eng (Ind Home) series in 1981-2 where Sunny used last 5 test matches to draw after winning the 1st Test.

Just that when a team has him as its no 1 bowler is my concern.

Will you be concerned because Rahane is scoring the most runs and not the much vaunted Pujara and Kohli?

Dhawan, Kohli, Pujara just got starts and never kicked on and made it count. It was just a matter of time when the others who have been contributing like Rahane or Vijay or Bhuvi don't score as big and the innings fold cheaply like what's been happening in this test. I didnt expect much from our bowlers to be honest but they did well in first 2 tests. This test has been a return to form.

But when shami is off and pankaj is struggling, he has too much to do. Still bhuvi has 4 wickets in the match. He is picking up wickets and tiring his body for the country so show some respect. Pace expected to be lower when he's overbowled. He has bowled in high 130s recently before this series. You can have bhuvi at 78mph picking wickets if you have aaron, ishant and 4th seamer pankaj/pandey in the mix. :finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger:

I was replying to the post where he said India has great bowlers.This is not against bhuvi, but the quality of bowlers we have. Bhuvi will be a good backup bowler for most teams, but here we have him as our no1. He may at the most win you a match or two, but definitely to win tests consistently abroad you need to develop a good pace attack.

When u come to match with a defensive mindset of playing 3.5 bowlers,bowling 30 overs of negative spin bowling on day 1 of a fresh wkt,this is bound to happen. Dhoni will gladly take a 2 consecutive draws after this test and wait,the excuse for doing poorly in this test is already ready -we were without our spearhead bowler :dontknow:

India always wins when they all combine well. It is very rare in Indian history Indian bowlers run through sides like Steyn, Donald, Ambrose. So stop giving tags to them. Even Zaheer khan hardly ran through sides. Sreesanth, RP singh, Irfan supported him. Lack of support make even a good bowler look very ordinary. Just give couple of good supporting bowlers his average will be far better.
