finn is a mental midget that's why they dropped him, would have liked to of seen rankin. finn is talented though but inconsistent and struggles when the pressure is on him, he was having an horrendous time and that's why he was dropped.

a mix of both but current team is all calm and no action when things dont always turn out right i have a theory that the reason shoulders were dropped in 3rd test is because they were told to play for a draw. These young guys want to win!

I like to flit around various county and international teams forums and offer an opinion here and there when relevant. Regarding Mr Finn, I don't think it's a case of England having 'woken up' I think they'd have dearly liked to have had him in from the start, but after a poor run of form, culminating in being sent home from the Ashes after being deemed 'unselectable' (whatever that means) he was always going to spend the first half of the summer at least playing county cricket and making himself 'selectable' again. I saw him bowl against Yorkshire at Scarborough a few weeks ago, and although he showed glimpses of a return to form, particularly on the first day I didn't think he looked anywhere near back to his best. I think there is a high probability that he will play at Old Twatford due to Plunkett's injury and Jordan's poor performance at Southampton, but India will not have to face the Steve Finn of three years ago

Finn is 6' 7" tall, a good 2 inches more than Ishant. With that height, if he bowls anywhere close to what he was clocking in 2011-12 (high 140s on a consistent basis), I think its bye-bye India.
