This thread shows that we have accepted ourselves as minnows of Test Cricket. In a 5 test match series a player is being lauded as revelation as a batsman without even hitting a century. I agree Dhoni has tried to fight it out more than others and also helped by the fact that he batted during slightly favorable conditions. Also dire situations where we kept ourselves getting after repeated failures of top order allowed him to free his arms and that came off few times. If he had got on a similar shot as he got out today when he was playing at 250 for 5, he would have been castigated but looking at the situation he was allowed to play these shots today.

As I said, you are fooling no one with your act. Every self respecting country in the world respects records. Don Bradman's average is remembered by every Australian. Respecting records is a way to pay respect to the players and what they have given for us We are the world cup winners, the CT winners, reached no 1 test rankings. Our record was amongst the greatest in Australia though we didn't win a series. We also had a great home record against them. In short, our record is slightly below par of England in tests and much better in ODIs. Only SA and Aus are clearly ahead of us and SA only in tests. No amount of Asia cup wins can put Pak ahead of us, who have 1 less World cup, less CT and no test no 1. Ditto with Sri Lanka
