The loss overseas have reached so lows that a change is warranted, whether the potential candidates do equally good or better or worse than him overseas. It's about accountability needing a change at this low.

When a team starts doing badly ... too frequent captaincy change OR no change at all ..... are equally detrimental. Same logic applies to a player with potential not performing. A 2 year timespan for a captain is perhaps optimum. If he is still struggling after that then he should go. Complete lack of accountability will never bring out the best in anyone.

The questions around his captaincy are all coming from English media and commentators. Charles Colville was dumbfounded that Shastri doesn't think questions should be raised after a day of test cricket he has never witnessed in his life - never has one team scored 100 runs at 9 an over for the last 3 wickets, to be followed by the other team being bowled out for less than that in 29 overs. He should not be in test team. It should be a fresh start with new management and captain.

Dhoni's batting has been good, however i do feel the same about getting rid of him altogether for a fresh start which can be sustained without him. If he is dropped from captaincy he might not enjoy playing under the younger boys or those whom he has lead for years. It might also result in groupsim and under performance like we see in Pakistan cricket. Management won't change although Dhoni's chances of getting sacked are remote as well. We are in for very tough times having to watch the team beaten let, right and center on overseas tour until this administrator / selector/ captain nexus prevails.

It is like SRT being 2nd highest run getter in England and Aus averaging in low 30s.
