Looks like you have not watched a match. He averaged 77-78 mph throughout the series against England. Most were talking about how he was so slow on this tour. While in IPL, he was bowling 135-136 consistently, here, he struggled to cross 130.

Mcgrath was never below 130kph in his life, on 2001 tour in India him and gillespee were both bowling in 140's. So, dont know how he was a trundler. Its the Pak brigade who always comes up with this logic of Mcgrath being a boring bowler with no talent, no pace and no talent just to show off that Akram and Younis were better because they were all that mcgrath wasnt and thats why i just hate it when people call Mcgrath a trundler.

Someone who may start in 82 range and the soon drop to 76 to 79 mph A bowler who generally operates in 83 to 88 range is not a trundle. He may not be express but is not a trundle. A keeper wont stand up to Mcgrath or Anderson. But will have no issues standing up to trundlers like BK and co

I did not say he averaged more than 80. 78 is quit close to 80. You cant compare T20s which a bowler has to go through 4 overs to a test match where bhuvi had to bowl a lot of overs. I have seen a t20 where Dinda bowled at 90mph.

Mcgrath was not a trundler, using evidence of last dieing years when oap does not make him a trundler. Same with ambrose who was proper fast bowler, yet trundler fand desperate to show case his last year or so when he was oap as evidence of him being a 79 mph bowling:hysterical:

a keeper has stood upto Anderson. Dont know about McGrath. take your point about speeds. If its 82 and below the ashes series Anderson has been 82 and below in many of the test matches.

IMHO A trundler is a seamer who lacks pace as well as steep bounce at reasonable pace. A bouncy pacer bowling mostly below 130 k OR A non-bouncy pacer bowling mostly under 135 k is a trundler to me.

Agreed man agreed. Some people just havent watched mcgrath even in his last few series, he was more or less like 82 miles

McGrath bowled some 135 k + spells even during his last couple of years. Plus .. got steep bounce. He had hit lots of batsmen on the body in his prime. People who think McGrath was trundler have never actually seen him bowl.

Glen McGrath was hardly express pace and neither is Anderson. In the series v India Anderson was bowling at around 82.

Anderson has been around for years,he is 32.Offcourse he has lost a bit of pace like everyone else does towards the end of their career.To me trundle is some who bowls medium fast.
