anybody else think that Shikar and Rahane enjoy each others company? there appeared to be a lot more hugging and fist bumps when they are batting in the last two odis. One thing about Rahane is that he does actively seek the single. That i feel is appreciated with Shikar. I only issue i have/had with Rahane is that he is range bound and does not make a start count. That has been dispelled hopefully. I personally think that India should play the two inform openers out of Shikar Rohit and Rahane. Clearly form can change in a matter of months, so i think bye to Rohit is a bit premature.

Yes, they enjoy each other's company because both are matchwinners and know how to open! *Rahane does his thing, gets singles, rotates strike* Shikhar: Finally, an opener I can take my time with who allows me to settle in and play my shots. Finally can form good partnerships again instead of seeing lazy elegance play out maidens. This is rahane and shikhar's 2nd 100 run stand so well done to both. Rohit is just depressing. No confidence, no ambition. Rahane was active, looking for places to score, neutered the new ball and then went for it. It was really great to see. Record opening partnership will be one for the ages!

Rahane needs to be more consistent. No tame dismissals pls. I would have have rayudu, kedar in the squad as well. Rayudu may provide a some solidity in the middle overs while kedar provides some hustle. We have to judge based on the pitches & the form of various players.

what i liked was It was 4 overs and 4 runs but they waited for the bad balls to come and put them away. They did not panic and played as per the situation. Established themselves and then it was exhibition cricket.

I think they should try Rayudu, Naman Ojha at 4th position or alternately if yuvi comes back, he can play in place of Jadeja.
